I recently saw that its librarian practice to put the "hours" of an audiobook as the pages for those editions since there is not "duration/length" field for audiobooks. Therefore the last book I read would have 5 pages for audiobook but 324 for hardcover edition.
Since the Goodreads stats shows pages, if I use the audiobook editions for all 150 audiobooks I read last year then my page could would drop from 51,000 to estimated 2,000.
My question is does Goodreads use the edition for any user analysis for ads or marketing? Does it use those editions to determining the development of more audiobook support? if yes, them I am misleading you on my usage. If no, then should Goodreads do that or should I just keep using Hardcover to pump up my page count?
