Wow, this book was a surprise. I really loved it and I enjoyed the writing style(I had heard that it was difficult). I really liked Clarke's humour especially the parts that had Byron and also liked how the she represented life for the aristocracy. Plus the man with the thistledown hair was really freaky and his arrogance and the pleasure he took in other peoples pain was disturbing.I would recommend this book to everyone as I didn't expect to enjoy it but it surpassed my expectations.
