Looks like everyone is doing relatively well so far. I always start out behind, but eventually manage to catch up. Right now I am 1-1/2 books behind. I hope to be back on track by end of next week.
How am I still one book behind when I finished two over the weekend?? Sigh... Am already a third of the way into one started last night.
(And at least I am currently one book ahead in the Classics challenge, LOL.)

I'm kind of embarrassed about that."
So how in the world did you knock out so many books in January? I'm jealous.

My commute to work is about an hour each way and I listen to audio books for that as well as when I'm walking/running so I get a good 2-3 of hours of "reading" in every day. With some shorter books, I was doing 2 per week just in audiobooks. I also download an e-book to read at lunch and can usually finish one of those per week. Other than that, it's winter and there isn't much else to do so I read at night instead of watching TV.
It also helps that I had 3 books I was currently reading from last year when this year started.

I'm currently 7 ahead of schedule on my 35 book goal.
I'm a third of the way into my tenth book for the year, and finally on track. Let's hope it stays that way!
Sigh . . . I caught up -- but am now two books behind again. Darn literary fiction novels! Current total: 11/80.

I suddenly don't feel so bad about being one or two books behind -- but at least your reasons are well-worth rereading. : )

Congratulations, Gary!

I originally set my goal at 30 then shortly after that upped it to 35. I just finished book number 23 this year and will have 24 done in the next day or two. Last year my goal was 60 I may go back to that but I want to see where I'm at the end of this month before I decide.
