Vienna (itsabooksworld) I'm currently reading it (yay) but am I the only one that mixes up all those gods? I don't know that much about Greek mythology and I'm confused sometimes.. I'm 21 and I think that's weird that so many 12 year olds etc. love it because of that.. I wish that there was an overview of all the gods etc. at the end or beginning of the book so I could look back to it.. Am I the only one who thinks that? (Because I don't think that middle graders know that much about mythology.)

First of all, I can't debate with you in detail about this one because I read Percy Jackson when I was 10. But I didn't think the mythology was confusing at all, and in fact, most of my friends who read it around the same age ended up having a large knowledge of Greek mythology only thanks to PJ. In what sense do you feel like the mythology is incomplete?

Vienna (itsabooksworld) ^Ah that's nice to hear! Well I don't know anything (yes I know some names) about Greek mythology and I can't remember everything.. Rick explained the stories very well though! I just wish there was something to look back on haha.

Remembering all the gods can get confusing, I agree. When I first read it I made an index of basic things to remember about all of them (lost it somehow apparently, sadness). As I've gotten older I've adjusted and learned more and I love all the ways he spins the stories into the plot. It's like a fun history lesson to me :).

Glad I'm not the only one! Yea I just wish they would have putted an index list at the end xd. But it's indeed more like a history lesson! I just wonder how much of the story is ''true'' to the original mythology stories.

Butterfly Mentions Oh, I learned much about the Greek mythology through the books written by Rick Riordan. I guess, I also learnt so much because I read them again and again and I listened to the audiobooks. :) Sometimes the key to learn is to repeat until you know everything about a topic. Rick Riordan also makes learning fun and I can never have enough of the books/ audiobooks :D
