Hi. I can't remember the name of the book or author. it was a book about an african woman that worked at a hotel and fell in love with one of the guests. they had a great love affair and they had a child too. when she gave birth to the child though, he kidnapped it and took it with him to europe. she then traveled to europe without any money - by swimming across the sea, walking by foot or hitch-hiking until she found the child.

fiction. i read it maybe a year or two ago.

the book describes mostly her horrible journey to and across europe and then she finds the son and lives as a homeless person and then she contacts the husband who lets her see the boy occasionally
