Perl Singh | 2 comments When I first heard of this book I was not sure whether to like it or not. But as I read I found a deeper connection with this book. The book started off with protagonist explaining how majority of the things he knew about his father he came to know of from others in town or from Rahim Khan. Amir's Baba (father) explains to him the differences between the the good and evils when Amir states that he hated the kids at the orphanage. Baba starts to explain how, "when you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness." Baba was explaining how everything is interconnected within itself. Baba has had experiences that has taught him the difference between right and wrong. His experiences made him wiser and considerate about every situation he has to undergo. Amir connected Baba's words to Baba's history and how his right to having a father was snatched by a robber.
