Hi Jim! I just got this book from the library tonite. How do you want to do the buddy read by number of pages per day or number of chapters per day?
Wow good question. I was thinking that we could go either way. The edition I have is a paperback edition of some 600 pages. It's buried amid some clutter, and I need to find it. I do not know how many chapters it is.Update: Eureka! (I found it!) Actually God found it. I just cursed and tossed stuff. The book was (hiding? cowering?) under my bed. Originally published by Richard Marek Publishers in 1980, the 2009 Bantam paperback edition I propose to read has 35 chapters and an epilogue in its 599 pages.
Jim
My edition doesn't have pages just location points. I propose that we read 5-6 chapters per day. How does that sound to you?
Today I read from the prologue to chapter 6. I will begin chapter 7 tomorrow. How are you making out?Jim
I read the prologue thru chapter 5. I'll work on reading from chapter 6 thru 12 tomorrow. I thought the beginning was a little slow to start but it picked up fairly quickly after that.
I felt the same way, that it started rather slowly but picked up. This Jason Bourne seems to be a bad dude, but I find myself liking and rooting for him.Jim
Jason really struggles to understand why he can't remember anything yet has all these skills that kick ass.
People lining up to kill him keeps growing in every chapter. I'm not sure what to think of Marie just yet. Jason is clearly getting some of his memory back as the book goes on.
I am on page 242 of 599, in chapter 14 of The Bourne Identity. It appears that Marie is an important part of the story, but if I'm ahead of you, I think it is best that I not reveal in what way.Jim
I finished the book this morning. An action-packed, suspenseful thriller you won't want to put down. 5*****Jim
