Nihar Suthar (niharsuthar) | 383 comments Hi everybody,

I have a quick request for helping out an author! I'm currently working on a new book titled, "The Corridor of Uncertainty." The book is about the inspiring journey of the Afghanistan cricket team. Many of the players there grew up playing cricket in refugee camps (because the Taliban banned all sports in Afghanistan, there was major danger, and families faced poverty), but persevered against all odds to qualify for the 2015 World Cup for the first time ever in the country's history. The team is single handedly uniting the war-torn country of Afghanistan. At the moment, the players are preparing for next year's cup.

Even better, I have had the opportunity to work with movie directors and producers in California to discuss scripting the book into a movie once I am finished writing it. There is one major obstacle that I have to tackle though first before I can move forward - in order to complete the book, I need to travel and do some more research on the what type of environment the team grew up in, cricket facilities they had, and movie shoot locations. I need to raise at least $2,500 (ideally $5,000) to cover these costs and realistically finish the book to the best of my ability.

If you are able, it would mean a lot to me if you could donate some money to the campaign I started below:

There is no pressure to donate, but every single penny helps! $5 would go a long way. I definitely think the world needs to hear more inspirational stories like this. Positive news often gets covered by all the negative news in the modern day media. I really hope we can spread the message that positivity is everywhere. Even in Afghanistan, there is hope. You will definitely be seeing The Corridor of Uncertainty in a bookstore and movie theater near you if I can meet my fundraising target.

Thanks for supporting my dreams :)
