...each participant will be able to create two new years resolutions to bring to their team. Each team will then read books which fit their teams new years resolutions.
- Finish series I've already started
- Finish review pile (netgalley etc)

Hi Christina!
Everyone, Here are my resolutions:
- Read contemporary standalones
- Read a book from an author I haven't read from yet

My resolutions are:
1) Read a graphic novel and/or writing from a medium other than standard novel form
2) Read classic novels

I don't think graphic novels will be accepted for the challenge (for points) but of course you can still read them. I'll add the Classics one to our resolutions :)

Alright, so the resolutions are here. I haven't built my 2016 to read shelf yet, but well.
1) Try new and different genres. (I've been reading books belonging to only certain selective genres during the past year or so)
2) Finish up the books that I have been meaning to read over the last few years, but never bothered to do so.
Also, you guys already posted some of the resolutions I have made, so yeah :)

well, it took me some time to come up with my resolutions but here they are:
1] read for at least 6 2015 debut authors
2] read more mystery-thrillers

1) Read classic novels.
2) Finish my reading challenges. *Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge and *Banned Books Challenge (Is that okay? If not...)
2) Finish reading my TBR pile.

What are you all reading right now?

I might read winter this month as well!
I've started reading About a Girl. In a bit of a slump but back to work which means one hour travel for reading ;)

Currently reading Hitchhiker's and All The Light we cannot See side by side.

Happy reading everyone!

I am reading Oz #6 which should be done soon. Not been reading as much as I'd like to. Already behind on the yearly goal!

I'm finished with Hitchhiker's and the first Volume of the Dark Tower graphic novel adaptation.

Nice work Manveer! Yep, graphic novels aren't accepted for any challenges

I have to stick to my resolutions only or I can use any mentioned by the team?
Also, If I have BR the book, do I need to provide the link?

And yes you need to provide the link. Otherwise, the BR points will not be counted.

So I just finished another book, titled Never Never (#1) by CoHo and Fisher.
I was thinking I'd put it under the resolution "read hyped up/popular books" since it's really popular, in my opinion.
I asked Sarah if this is subjective or is there some way to identify if it's hyped up, and she said it needs to be amended because it's too vague.
So yeah... Leah, can you please change your first resolution? Thank you :)
Tati, a group member, suggested we could be more specific like "read books with more than 10,000 ratings in Goodreads", but that's just a suggestion. It's your resolution so it's your choice what to change.
Otherwise, I'll just add this book under "read mystery thrillers".

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - From an author I haven't read yet, or popular/hyped up. Which one?
Dark Places(BR) - Mystery thriller
All the Light We Cannot See(BR) - From an Author I haven't read
Messi: The Inside Story of the Boy Who Became a Legend - Different genres.
This fine? Needed to confirm beforehand

You can list Hitchhiker's to "read from an author I haven't read from", since Sarah (the moderator) said "hyped books" are not specific. :)

Just a reminder everyone — if your book is over 450 pages, or has an edition that has over 450 pages, you will need to specify the page number on our review thread to get the bonus point. Otherwise, it won't be counted.

Wait! Can multiple resolutions apply to single book?

It's written in the challenge rules:
If you have a book that has 450+ pages, you get a bonus point.

You can also other editions' pages, not just yours, so we can get the bonus point.
For example, your edition contains 400 pages. There is an edition for your book that is over 450. You can use that instead.

It's almost half of the month so it'd be nice to get some updates from the others. :)

I am lagging behind on my reading plan as well :(
@Christina I hope as well that you get out of this slump <3

Ahwag, I saw your review. They don't allow books started before January 2016 for this particular challenge :(
Happy reading everyone.

You're doing well!
I've almost finished this net galley and thankfully it's been a good book so far :)

I'm trying to focus on my fourth book now :)

Just finished Me and Earl and the Dying Girl will try to finish Paperglass tomorrow..

I notice you've been in a slump recently as well. Hope it goes away for the both of us!"
yeah, I'm trying to get back to "reading is fun" phase and not overwork myself this year.. how are you doing?

Currently reading never let me go, sabriel and about a girl. Hopefully finish two of these by end of the month. Still slow going for me!
