Benjamin Pacheco | 1 comments I have read and enjoyed books by Jeffrey Archer and enjoy the free give-a-way of this book, however after discussing with another avid reader and we both agreed that although Jeffrey is a top notched author, we felt the book to be un-readable and both agreed it is the publisher who bound the book responsibility on how it was printed I tried to read a couple of chapters and all I got was a throbbing headache, not because of the content but of the print layout it impossible to read.
We both felt in order to read and enjoy this novel we will have to get a hard copy of the book whereas the end of page one does not run into the beginning of page two etc. For a paperback the publishers blotched the page layout.

Barbara (bam24) | 6 comments As I read this book I feel as if the style of writing is similar to other books I've tried to read. For instance, "the Twelve Tribes of Hattie" - each chapter represent each of her children. "The Invention of Wings" by Sue Kidd Monk started off the same way with each chapter representing certain things. I was not able to complete these books because of this. I will continue to plug along on this book. Just wondering if anyone felt the same way or notice the similarities?

Judy Cain | 5 comments Yes, I see the similarities to the Sue Monk Kidd - for me it's a definite plus, because as the book goes on, different people experience the same situation in different ways, and I find that really interesting (not to mention, also a great reminder!). So I actually seek out books that use this technique, and I have not read "Twelve Tribes" so I will look for that one. Thanks!

Barbara (bam24) | 6 comments Thanks for your comment Judy. Good way to look at that. I thought they might have another read with similar writings, but I can't seem to remember the title . A sign of getting
