Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments I have recently started graceling. I am about 300 pages in and not sure I want to continue the series. I am not that into it. I don't know y but it hasn't grabbed me yet. it may be because right before this series I read the darkest minds series and totally loved it. it was one of my favs and the writing was amazing. and it the graceling just doesn't compare. so what are yalls thoughts? I hate not finishing a book. I had this same feeling with Dorothy must die, but decided to finish it anyways. but this is a trilogoy so I don't want to make my self read all 3 books if I am not that into it. anyways, advice would b so great, thanks!

Riya I personally loved it and thought it was amazing! I also think that the ending is truly one of the best parts, so I recommend just persevering to the end. There's a huge twist right at the end, so maybe that'll help your perception of the book? Also, the next two books don't directly relate (they're mainly in the same universe and the third book involves these characters again for a bit), so you can finish the first book and still get complete closure! So no pressure to finish the series!

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 1040 comments OK, well my opinion is that you probably shouldn't continue the series. I loved Graceling, like Fire and got quite bored during Bitterblue. So if you're not enjoying Graceling that much, you really might not enjoy the rest of the series (although I could be completely wrong!). But I'd at least finish Graceling as Riya said the ending is great!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I can't offer advice, but I can add that I got maybe 50 pages in and just was not feeling the magic that nearly all books, good or bad, tend to make me feel.

I'm gonna give it another shot eventually, might've just been bad timing on my parrt. When I do I'll stop back by here and see if any of my thoughts are still valuable.

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments thanks y'all! I think I will go ahead and finish it. I think that I may have just overloaded myself with reading and needed a tiny break. I went from reading the chaos walking right into Dorothy must die and then straight into the darkest minds and now to graceling with no break at all. I will.prob finish graceling and I may nor continue the series. thanks again! I knew y'all would help me out :) I'm so glad I have you awesome fellow book lovers to talk to!!! y'all r the best!

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 1040 comments No problem, Alison, that's what we're here for! Ooh, it's tough to go from Chaos Walking to anything!

Az (أسماء) | 348 comments Glad u liked it! It's honestly one of my very favorite books of all time. And to be honest I didn't really read Fire either and even tho Bitterblue was okay it wasn't as good as Graceling. How surprised were you when u found out that Po was blind?? Or did u guess it before hand?

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 203 comments It's very hard to go from The Darkest Minds to anything else. After reading TDM I couldn't get into anything else, so I just took a break from reading.
Graceling doesn't sound like my kind of book, but I've heard great things about it.
