This folder is for a book that is written by a Nobel Prize winner.

NOTE - this does not have to be a winner of the literature category, though they are your most likely candidates. Some of that science stuff might be a bit dense.

Please share your suggestions, or any resources you've used to help find your book for this category in this thread.

Here's a little background on the Nobel Prize:

And a list of Nobel laureates:

I bet a few of them have written books. :-)

Amanda | 229 comments I am reading "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding. I remember loving the movie when I was in middle school but have never read the book.

Ann-Marie (amsjob) I think I will save this one for the 2016 winner!

Margo (dandylines) Thank you for those resources. Very helpful, I noted some of the Dahlia Lama's books and then saw "The Plague" by Camus. I love that sort of thing so I am picking that. :>

Erin (erinskelly) | 16 comments For this category, I chose a literary theory book by Toni Morrison. But, as it turns out, there are are number of Nobel winners on my list. :)

Teresa (teremazon) This category required a lot of thought and research. Some of my favourite books of all times have been by Nobel winners: Garcia Marquez, Vargas Llosa, Camus, Sartre, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Faulkner. . . But I have to admit that many others I am not very interested in. I was contemplating a re-read, but I have done an impulse buy for Enemies: A Love Story by Issac Bashevis Singer, and since I have never read anything by him, and even hardly ever heard of him, I'm going to give him a chance. Shame that it is not available in electronic format.

Mary Sue I chose Beloved for this task. I have loved the other Toni Morrison novels I have read in the past, but for me, this one was just OK.
