Duncan took the hand, now standing."Wait, you're from another country, like me?! That's so bloody cool. Is it me or are we becoming best friends? Tell me more about yourself." Duncan was so interested. It was cool that someone from a different country was cool.

" It's not you, we are becoming besties," Alexander says with a smile, then, still holding Duncan's hand, he then led his new friend to a flat rock, he let Duncan's hand go. " ask me anything about me?" Alexander says, sitting down.

[Justin]

Duncan followed. "Well you're favorite color? Favorite thing about South Africa. Like your life in general in Africa. How was it?" Hopefully that came out clear.

Alexander laughs, " Rainbow, my old friends, and basically it was like the way it is here," Alexander says.

"Cool. In London, it was nice. You get to see where the queen stayed. Awesome fish and chips. But I'm excited to try Canadian food as well." Should he ask about Alexander's mom? Or would that be too personal? He decided not too. "So how old are you? I'm 13."

" I'm thirteen too," Alexander says softly as he looked at Duncan, he smiled, he just sat there on the rock, he then began thinking about things,but he focused on Duncan, suddenly he heard a voice calling for him, his fathers voice, the not drunk one.

[Justin]

"Oh." Duncan said switching back to his American accent. He pulled it off quite well. "I think that's our que to leave. Wouldn't want us to get in trouble huh?" Duncan said dusting himself off. He extended a hand out to Alexander, to help him up. "Hopefully, we are in the same school."

Alexander smiled, he slipped his hand info Duncans and once he was up, he brushed himself off, " Yeah, I hope we go to the same school, do you have a bike? If so we could ride to school together." Alexander offers as he led the way back home.

[Justin]

"Yea, I do. Let's do that." Duncan said following Alexander. "Tomorrow is when I start."

" Tomorrow is when I go back, I've been sick for a few days and everything," Alexamder says, and then explaining before Duncan even asked, he began thinking about something, but ignored it.

[Justin]

"Okay. Well......I'll see you tomorrow. It's dinner time and if I'm not on time....I'll be in trouble with my mom."

Alexander nodded, " I'll see you tomorrow, oh Duncan?" Alexander says, stoping where he was, which was where the sand ended and the sidewalk started.

[Justin]

"Yeah? " Duncan stopped looking at Alexander.

" Please don't tell your parents about my dad, and please don't let them call the police on my dad, he's my only family." Alexander says, his voice now in a pleading tone. " Promise me you or your parents won't call the cops," Alexander murmurs.

[Justin]

Duncan nodded. "I promise."

Alexander smiled, " Thanks Duncan," Alexander says as he then ran towards his father, who put an arm around his shoulders, Alexander looked over his fathers arm at Duncan.

[Justin]

"See you tomorrow, Alexander." Duncan went back home on time for dinner. ((Wanna timeskip for the school scene :) ))

Alexander couldn't say anything, his father talking to him anyways.

It was 7 AM. Duncan's mom was sleeping and so was his dad. Duncan went downstairs to make some cold cereal. Last night he picked out an outfit. It was a red plaid shirt, with a grey American Eagle zip up hoodie, with khaki skinny jeans and white nike high tops. He was ready for the day. 15 mins later his parents went downstairs and talked to him about not being nervous.

Alexander was glad his father was asleep, he checks the living room to make sure his dad was actually asleep, he then went to make himself breakfast.

[Justin]

"So son blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah." That's the sound Duncan's dad was making when he was giving the pep talk. Duncan wasn't listening of course. He looked at the time. "Dad, I have to get dressed. Be right back." Over the course of 30 mins Duncan took a shower and lotioned up. With deodorant too. He got dressed. For his hair, wanted volume. He used his favorite hairspray and his hair was perfect. It was fairly warm outside. He grabbed his lunch and stuffed it into his bookbag. He kissed his mom and hugged his dad. He got his bike and rode it to Alexander's house waiting.

Alexander walked out of his house, his fathers yelling could be heard as he opened the door, he ignored his father, and he walked towards his bike, he picked it up and walked over to Duncan. " Hey Bestie," Alexander says with a grin.

[Justin]

"Hey. Ready for school?"

[j a m m e s]

" Yep, are you ready?" Alexander asked.

[Justin]

"Ya! C'mon let's not be late." Duncan said in excitement. "Led the way. "

Alexander smiled, he mounted then bike and then rode slowly away from the houses.

[Justin]

Duncan was enjoying the scenery. He couldn't want to meet new people.

" Better keep up Duncan," Alexander says as he rode his bike.

"I am! How far is the school?" Duncan asked letting his real accent out.

" Just a little more farther Duncan," Alexander says as he increased his speed of the bike.

[Justin]

Duncan sped up. "I feel like we're racing! It's just school."

Alexander smirked, " in Canada Duncan, we race to get to school, first one there gets like twenty euros from the janitor," Alexander says.

[Justin]

"But...I'm only 13! My body can't go that fast. Then again....20 bucks. Okay." Duncan said peddling ahead of Alexander.

Alexander smirked, he pedaled so fast, he zoomed past Duncan.

[Justin]

"What...the..." Duncan was running out of breath. "How bloody far is the school? "

Alexander turned, " Just a block away," Alexander replies loudly.

[Justin]

"Okaaaaay." Duncan said catching up with Alexander.

Alexander chuckled, " you can never beat me!" Alexander says, the school came into view, there were other people behind them.

[Justin]

"Maybe? Naaaaah." Duncan said surpassing Alexander. He was now at the school. Getting off his bike.

Alexander hopped off his bike, and like everyone and like always, he left the bike in the front yard of the school, then he grinned and dashed past Duncan, reaching the school building, he entered the school, where the janitor stood, grinning.

((Okay for some reason. The notifs arent working.))

Duncan parked his bike. But it was too late. Alexander got there first.

" Come on new boy, come get your earned money," The janitor called to Duncan, since the doors were left open.

[Justin]

Duncan smiled, went up and took the money "Thank you."

Alexander had gotten some money too, he grinned, " Thanks Mr. Warren," Alexander says as he led Duncan down the hallway.

" No problem kiddo," the janitor says.

[Justin]

"Wow." This school was huge. He was seeing all kinds of people. So much diversity.

" We should have most of our classes together, since we have homeroom together," Alexander says.

[Justin]

"Great!" Duncan pulled out his agenda. "My locker number is 34." Sure enough it was right there. "Hold on. I need to put this bookbag down."

" Oh this is cool, my locker is 33, so that's kinda nice," Alexander says, he opened his locker, not even using the combination lock, he smirked.
