ooh I love this, I'm in!!This year so far I've read 275 books, so I would say at least 190-200 of those or more were audios of 7hrs or more.
7hrs X 200 books = 1400 hours.
I'm hoping to read 300 books next year for my personal challenge so I would say again that at least 220 will be audio so I'm going to try for 1700 hours ...........hmmmmm
I have to think about this. I don't want to aim to high.
Don't forget to track your reads in your own threads :)

i do about 15hrs a week of commuting, so i'm going to say 800hrs (15x52 is 780); plus extra driving around etc
I added my total listening hours for 2015 and it was just over 1000 hours, so I'll make 1000 hours my goal for 2016.

That's a lot of commuting friend.

In 2015 I read 120 books and 34 of those were audio/whispersync books. So I guess I'll challenge myself to 500 hrs for 2016.

its about an hour in the am and anywhere from 2-3 at night - just depneds on what time i escape work
Hmmm.since I have committed myself to a complete re-listen of the In Death series in that group, plus the new ones and the new BDB...I will challenge myself to 2000 hours. I just love being retired. I am up to 14 hours for the year so far.
I haven't kept up with how many books I've read (or listened) to before but I think I'll try it this year. I'm retired and listen to audio books a lot! I think I'll make me a spreadsheet to keep up with it.
Luckily Audible tracks it for me, so I just have to track the ones I listen to through other means. I rarely watch TV, I either read or listen to books so I think it is doable.
I am starting off 2016 by re-listening to the Harry Potter books, so that is a couple hundred hours right there! OK, maybe not quite 200 hours, but close. I usually listen at work, four or so hours a day, 3 of the days a week. So I put my goal at 600 hours of listening in 2016. May be more, as we're slated for 5 hours a week mandatory over time starting Jan 11 and going through probably March. Yay! More books!

*picking myself up off the floor* Go girl!

Wow, some of these numbers are astounding! I'm going to go with 450 hours---that's about 1 audiobook per week which is about my average.
Lol Jonetta...good thing I am not moderating several groups and writing on at least one blog...plus all this reading and listening.
I'm in awe of everyone. I listened to about 80 books, read another 10, and wrote 1 (does that count?). I need to write more this year, but then again, reading more helps me write more. I'll go for 100 books (approximately 2 books a week) which would average about 900 hours (the books I read tend to be in the 8 to 10 hour length though there are some lot longer ones as well).
Hi guys I am new to the group and am loving this challenge! Last year I read 250 books, almost half these were audiobooks and usually a minimum of 8hrs. I usually listen when at work and travelling in the car. So I am proposing to read atlas 1000 hours.
According to audible I read a total of 2 months 3 days and 15 hours! Lol that doesn't include my library listens!
I listened to about 60 last year. I'll go with an average of 9 hours, so I'm going to shoot for 540 hours. Be prepared to walk a lot little doggies!
I originally said 150 hours, but I'm changing it to 250. I don't usually listen as much as I've been doing while recovering from shoulder surgery, but I may be driving again soon. I won't be home as much, so I hope this is a realistic challenge for me. We shall see.
OK, I'm up to 146 already, so I'm going to increase estimate to 500 hours. Who knows, I may be close this time ;)

The goal is simple:
1) nominate the number of hours that you want to try and listen to in 2016
2) in your own thread, track your audiobooks for the year
3) at the end of the year, let us know how you did - did you make your goal? did you find that you needed to add more hours through-out the year?
the hours you set is totally up to you - keep it simple and add more through out the year, or aim for the sky
how many hours will you listen to?
