Im v v excited to read it!

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Me too!

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments I'll be starting this today

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Stopping for now. Will pick back up tomorrow. I only made it to around 40%. So far most of the stories are just okay but there have been a couple I really liked.

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Finished! As a whole I enjoyed it. Though I didn't love it but honestly I didn't expect to. I've read a few books by Neil Gaiman and most of the time I just find them okay. I have yet to read something by him that just blows my mind. I know he is hugely popular so I'm going to assume the problem lies with me. I will say out of all the stories in this anthology I liked The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountains the most. And I also love Neil Gaiman's voice. He did his own narration for the audiobook. He has a very relaxing and soothing voice. I really enjoyed listening to it.

Colleen (colls) | 491 comments I find Gaiman's stuff interesting, but not mind blowing.

I'm still in this (How is it the 7th already?!!?! ) but will be reading mid-month. I'm still struggling with Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell..... :/

Colleen do msg me when you start with this.
Are you not liking Jonathan strange? I saw it yesterday in my library . My god what a huge huge book . Didn't realise that while reading in eBook form.

Colleen (colls) | 491 comments Karen!! I'm so sorry for the delay. I'm going to start this book next (probably tomorrow) Poor Krissy read it weeks ago.... :(

I did like Jonathan Strange, it just took me a while to get through. The writing was very dense and, like you say, it was HUGE

Colleen (colls) | 491 comments The first handful of stories are interesting, but rather underwhelming. The thing I like about short story collections is that if one story doesn't engage you, all you have to do is turn the page and try the next one.

Colleen (colls) | 491 comments @Krissy, I just read the story "The Truth Is a Cave in the Black Mountains..." and agree that it's the best so far. It felt very Poe-meets-Celtic-fae to me, which I loved.
