Bend over, here it comes.

As if owning a biscuit-eating dachshund (right down there with the poodle and the chihuahua as hands down the most worthless breeds ever to roam the planet) wasn't enough, then you go and saddle it with the name of a band of wiggered-out, backward-ball-cap-wearing, chromosomally-challenged numbnuts like Limp Bizkit?

And people wonder why I drink so much.

Hi everyone!! *grins like an idiot*

kogijiki (covered in mud) (kogijiki) | 235 comments Thank you!

Half Native American and half european mutt. My mom (the native) always told my dad that he was marrying her to move up in the world.

Within a more personal realm I am a full time potter, an instructor of ceramics at The Arvada Center and run the studio. So yeah, I'm dirty a lot and you will know me as "That girl who always wears overalls." :P

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Welcome, Kogijiki. Is your real name Lee? I can't pronounce your Goodreads name. *grabs some popcorn*

kogijiki (covered in mud) (kogijiki) | 235 comments Thanks Cynthia! *makes fresh*

LOL...No it's Megan. The name is ko-ge (g as in "get") je ke (the i's are pronounced as long e's) and it's a combination of two languages. "Kogi" is Cherokee for crow and "jiki" is Japanese for porcelain. I speak both languages but only enough to find the nearest bathroom, have a conversation with a 4 year old or ask for a cookie. :P

KOGIBUTT seems easier to remember, and pronounce.

kogijiki (covered in mud) (kogijiki) | 235 comments LOL...I answer to that just fine. Jammies and I have known each other for years so getting a call from her where I answer JAMMIES!!! And she replies KOGIBUTT!!!! Is a common occurrence. :P

Barb, glad I could help with the name. :D

And thank you everyone. It is very good to be here!

kogijiki (covered in mud) (kogijiki) | 235 comments Arvada, CO: www.arvadacenter.org though I warn you, the web site is rather like the third circle of hell. >.<

message 2586: by Lee (new)

Lee | 701 comments Alright, another Colorado member! When I saw the name Arvada Center, figured there was another one somewhere! :)
I live in Elizabeth, east of Castle Rock.

kogijiki (covered in mud) (kogijiki) | 235 comments Hello, hello!! I know Elizabeth, though it has been a while since I got down there. I just heard we finally have cool weather coming and even some rain (hopefully!) Though the lack of rain/snow has meant the aspens are amazing this year!

Every time I hear about aspens in Colorado I think of Scooter Libby.

kogijiki wrote: "Lobstergirl: That is a very strange connection. LOL"

Not really. "Scooter Libby" aspens returns 86,000 google results.

"You went into jail in the summer," wrote Libby to jailed journalist Judith Miller. "It is fall now … Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them. Come back to work—and life."

kogijiki (covered in mud) (kogijiki) | 235 comments Ah...I had never heard that before. Now of course when I see aspens I will think of you thinking of Scooter Libby...

I can't eat it, it's all spotty!

LG, I hadn't heard the connection between Scooter Libby and aspens either. Very interesting!

kogijiki (covered in mud) (kogijiki) | 235 comments And flaming too jammies...of course that could be considered "eaten" in a way.

One of the biggest life forms on earth is an aspen colony in Utah. Though it is many, many trees they are only one plant.
