I'm new here but wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kim, I've just turned 40, I live in Maryland, am British in heritage, am dating an Italian. I'm a voracious reader with an expansive vocabulary which I use often, much to the chagrin of those around me.I'm also currently recovering from a bout with cancer, so sometimes chemo leaves me with an incorrect word or two. I've read several posts in this group and I think I'm just enough of a nerd with a sardonic enough wit to fit in. You guys seem just like my people!

The Buckaroos were a Grammy-winning band led by Buck Owens in the 1960s and early '70s, who were heavily involved in the development and presentation of the "Bakersfield Sound."
