*SIGH!*

I saw Blues Traveler (my favorite band at the time) at Red Rocks on the Fourth of July. I could see 5 or 6 different fireworks displays from the top. It was magical.

Angie (angabel) One of my friends' eyeballs is half-fake. She often takes it out to show people. It's craazzy.

I almost lost my eyeball. If I hadn't closed my eyes, I would've. *touches eyeball* Whew, still there.

message 105: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Wow, Bun. Wow.

message 106: by [deleted user] (new)

Good for you Bun to see all of them at such a great venue.

Need report when you get back Sally.

message 107: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Nobody's gonna ask what Angabel's talkin' about with this eyeball thing?

I will, although I'm slightly afraid I'll get grossed out.

message 108: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (luvrdn) | 501 comments I figured I just missed something. It was very random.

message 111: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I just drift around in here, usually not really knowing where I am. Certain memories float to the surface.

Drifting now.

message 112: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Water planet ... dear home of my life.

Drifting.

I am a hippy. I don't like to bathe, I hate to shave, washing my hair seems unnecessary, and I eat mostly organic food. My carbon foot print is minuscule and I eat tempeh, tabulah, and hummus.

message 118: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I am NOT a hippy. I wash my hair daily, but I do eat hummus. I don't like to shave, but I do a couple times a week at least anyway. I went to Grateful Dead concerts as a teenager for the drugs and girls. Jam bands make me want to destroy things.

But I'm glad we have a hippy moderator. She just never, ever gets to control the stereo.:)

Dude. Tread lightly. I might just spray you with some patchouli.

message 120: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments That's ok. I've got spare shampoo, and I'm not afraid to pour it on you when you're not looking.

Yes. I'm revisiting it on stream here:

Seriously, I had my reservations before the show, as I used to be a non-phan. But I am now. Total convert. The lifestyle is awesome too. We tailgated for 3-4 hours before the show and just soaked it in.

Félix (habitseven) Michelle wrote: "I used to read everything Stephen King wrote."

Then what happened?

message 136: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (luvrdn) | 501 comments I read It. No really I think I found writing and poetry and then music and boys and then Anne Rice.

message 137: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Ah.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments It's been forever since I read any Stephen King. The last thing I tried was the first book of The Dark Tower, The Gunslinger, which did nothing for me. All set up, no delivery...

message 139: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (luvrdn) | 501 comments I do still read his stuff every once in a while, I used to feel like I grew up in Maine.

message 143: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (luvrdn) | 501 comments I still like King. I think I just over did it at one time.
I entered a bunch of times to win a book. I hope there is not a limit.

message 144: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (luvrdn) | 501 comments O.K. it's been a while. I like Thinner, The Long Walk? is this the right series?

message 145: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (luvrdn) | 501 comments I wonder where that idea came from for The Long Walk.

message 146: by Knarik (new)

Knarik What books by Stephan King would you reccomend to smbd. (me), who haven't read any?

message 147: by Matt (new)

Matt | 819 comments It has been a long time since i've read any of his fiction, but I thought that his book "On Writing" had some great advice for anyone thinking about jumping into the writing game.

message 148: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I loved . I almost forgot he wrote that.

Most people seem to like The Stand, I agree with Jane...
