La mano negra | 3 comments I just added the 1992 edition of this book and eventually had to submit without the ISBN since the ISBN printed on the cover (cover which I added correctly to my submission) was reserved for an entry related to a 1999 edition. Not sure how I should proceed since I am pretty sure the ISBN 9600500703 belongs to the book I own with the black cover. Would be nice to be able to add the ISBN to my entry.

La mano negra | 3 comments My line of thinking is that the entry/cover I added should be matched with the ISBN which now belongs to the 1999 edition since it is an earlier one dating to 1992 even if for some reason both covers go around with the same ISBN number.

I would agree, but GR policy is that the edition that was added first gets to keep the ISBN: https://www.goodreads.com/help/librar...

La mano negra | 3 comments I am sorry to hear. For an OCD guy like myself it makes little sense to have an ISBN attached to a later edition especially since fiddling with ISBN numbers is allowed in the case of ARC. Hopefully this could be addressed somehow. Ideally the ISBN could be assigned to all alternate cover entries and the ISBN search would wield multiple results users can choose from. Theoretically speaking (I almost dare say practically as well) this is an easy fix.

Arenda | 26452 comments I have added the isbn to the description of the ACE. And a link to the ACE on the edition with the isbn,
