So is this for a book currently on the list or one that has been on the list at some point (and so helpfully has 'NYT best seller' plastered on the cover)?Helpful link for the current ones btw http://www.nytimes.com/best-sellers-b...
I am going to read "The Grown Up" by Gillian Flynn. I choose two of her books for the 2015 challenge and really enjoyed her writing.
Natália wrote: "I'm reading The Girl On The Train for this one! I got it from Christmas and can't wait to start."I'm reading this for this category as well.
I am considering reading The Walking Dead, Compendium 1 for this category. This has been well rated and suggested to me numerous times.
Interpreter of Maladies / The NamesakeJust because I already have it and it sounds very interesting.
I will choose The Edge of Never by J A Redmerski, as it has been in my TBR for way too long and it is time I give it a chance. I couple of group buddies have also recommended the Mount TBR challenge, and I have not wasted any time in joining. This is just what I need, to clean the decks. I think this book has been in my kindle since publication.

Did we ever get an answer for this question? I would also like to know this.
I think it is for a book that has been on the list at any time, otherwise it would be too restrictive.
I'm going to read Gone Girl... There is so much hype and I have been wanting to read the book before I see the movie... I hope it lives up to all the hype!
Amanda wrote: "I am going to read "The Grown Up" by Gillian Flynn. I choose two of her books for the 2015 challenge and really enjoyed her writing."I read her other books but didn't know she had a new one. Thanks! :)
I am reading The Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham.I have read most of his books, and while so far it is really good I don't think it will be one of my favorites.
Was so Happy to find Fredrik Backman's "A man called Ove" on the list! A book which has been a bestseller here in Sweden for ages, my husband (who is not an avid reader) read at least two yrs ago and which is now a movie!
Teresa wrote: "I think it is for a book that has been on the list at any time, otherwise it would be too restrictive."That's the theory I am going with, after all, it doesn't say current.
My first book of 2016 was Room, by Emma Donoghue. I liked it, but had a hard time believing parts of it. It must have translated well to a screen play, the movie is doing pretty good!
I read the book a while back and watched the movie just recently, it does translate well but it's not as good as the book and is more about the outside time than in room
I had a hard time getting through the setting of the book, but I persevered thinking it might be a study in completing a book by a male author to the end.
Thinking back (1 month later), It seems like the movie It's a Wonderful Life. Any thoughts?

I would highly recommend The Silent Girls by Eric Rickstad for this category. I just finished it and it was a really addictive read.
If you've just finished something heavy, or you want a break for whatever reason, I recently found out that a book my mother gave me for my birthday as a sort of joke is a NYT Bestseller. It's called I Could Pee on This And Other Poems by Cats. It's basically a bunch of short poems from the perspective of cats. It's funny and a really quick read. Definitely a recommendation for cat lovers, cat OWNERS especially.
I chose The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test for this task - 1968 NYT Best Seller. I did not like it much
