How do books get into new release email?

Sorry if this isn't the right place, I couldn't find anywhere else. :)

The email I mean is 'New Releases from Authors on Your Shelves.' I'll soon be publishing a new book, and I'm wondering what are the criteria for a book being included in that email, so people who have liked my other books will be notified about it. Do I simply need to create the book on Goodreads once I publish it, or is there something else that needs to be done?

This is not a Librarians Group issue, but one for the Contact Us link on the Help page. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or author issues outside of fixing book or author listings on Goodreads itself.
