NA/YA book about girl who has some sort of power and falls for vampire

In the book a girl I believe is named Claire is a freshmen in college and is a loner who doesn't really have friends. She befriends a guy there and one day catches him arguing with his sister or relative. She has an ability of some kind and meets a group of vampires and shapeshifters. The girl has an immediate connection with the vampire who will train her to control her ability and they fall for each other. Later on in the series they get married and she becomes a vampire too.
