message 52: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) "What makes you think I'll agree to this plan?" Layla mused skeptically.

message 53: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "I never said you would agree. I could just take it," Chevelle replied. As if on cue, Chevelle's crew seemed to press closer to Layla, not brandishing weapons, but not exactly making themselves look harmless either.

message 54: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Layla laughed at this hollow threat. "Hah. I haven't said anything on what or where this thing is. Without me, you won't know anything. Heck, even with me here you won't know anything. She snapped her fingers and Maria scurried to the top to man the wheel and they started sailing away.

message 55: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Tsk," Chevelle mutteredbin response. "Looks like i'll get from her by force...."

message 56: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments She commanded her crew tk follow Layla's ship, but to stay out kf sight in the process. 'It would all be over if she saw me,' she mumbled. 'But i have the best crows nest scout there ever lived! She will have no trouble spotting the ship from far away!' She debated. Her scou was also he only female crewsmen besides herself and Layla.

message 57: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Layla called Jason into the Captain's Quarters for discussion. "Layla--I mean Miss Shadows--I mean Captain..." He stammered.
"Yes, Sullivan?" Layla asked in a mock-stern tone. Jason knew she wasn't often so high and commanding, but had to keep her image for the sake of the ship. He was also allowed the only other member permitted to call her Layla.
"Captain, what if Chevelle comes by anyways?"
Layla laughed, "you know, no matter what she tried to do, she's not getting ahold of whatever she imagines that I have."
"And that would be...?" Jason asked skeptically.
Layla smiled. "It's all up here," she pointed towards her head with a grin.

message 58: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments Chevelle tails Layla's ship and stops whenever they stop, usually for things like new recruits, etc. When they stopped for the second time, Chevelle became worried. "Captain Chevelle? Are you thinking that they know about us?" Jake, her first mate asked, walking into her quarters. "Im sure everything is fine. I disnt exactly plan on taking a one hundred percent stealth approach," she replied, not lookig up from her map.

message 59: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Jason looked at Layla skeptically. Layla burst out laughing at his expression, and then gestured for him to come closer. "Listen, bud. I'll let her chase us for a little while and see if she realizes we're going places in no particular order or for no particular reason."
"Sooo..." Jason pondered, "like a wild goose chase?"
"Precisely." Layla replied with a grin.

message 60: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments Chevelle paused to look out the window of her quarters. 'This is the fourth stop... And they know anout us, im sure...' She slammed her fist on the table. "Dammit!" She yelled, causing her first mate to run into the cabin. "W-whats wrong?!" He asked, looking scared of what the answer could be.

message 61: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Layla sat in the Faithful Bride pub talking to an old friend.
"You've got a freeloader? Niceeeee..." Arielle was saying.
"Yeah, I've probably got to go soon so she doesn't figure it out... " Layla replied with a sigh. "Quick, hand me the package on that table."
Arielle turned to hand Layla the package, and Layla took it and fled the room.
"Oh my..." Arielle said, clicking her tongue as she left.
Layla climbed onto the ship.
"Let's head towards Tortuga." She stated with a grin and set sail.

((Yay to being on a bus for 30+ hours))

message 62: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments ((Holy crap!! WHY?!?))

Chvelle watched in anticipation as Layla boarded her ship."well at least she is gettin back on... But this is pointless!" She mumbled. "Turn'er around!" She yelled at the man behind the ((wheel thingy?))

((I just wanna say sorry for not knowing ANY pirate terms whatsoever! This is the first one ive ever done!))

message 63: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) ((Robotics competition XD
And that's alright, I know a bit just from writing a story about them and watching a ton of POTC... And I have a pirates book and game. I lurv pirates, haha ))

Layla opened the package back in the captain's quarters and found a large key inside of a small glass bottle. She dropped the bottle in attempt to smash it, but to no avail. She beat the bottle against the wall and had no luck. Jason stared and then took a hand in trying to break open the bottle, but he had no luck either.
"This must be enchanted glass..." Layla murmured, turning the shimmery glass in her fingers. On the bottom of the bottle, engraved in the glass, was a line of numbers. "Curious..." Layla mused.

message 64: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Now i have to find ANOTHER place to find something... I have to get money!" She complained, hrowing papers off her desk and sittig down in the chair, hard. "Ugh! That damn Layla and all her foolishness!"

message 65: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) "These must be coordinates.." Layla murmured. "Strange, that puts us dead in Raven's Cove. That place is long abandoned and heavily searched, nothing could possibly be hiding there. It's just a ghost town. Literally, there's a ton of spirits hiding on the island."
Jason lowered his eyebrows. "You really believe in that make believe crap?"
Layla frowned. "Believe what you want, that place is haunted."

message 66: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Cap'n? You alright?" Her firdt mate Blake asks, peeking back into he cabin. "Just fkne!" Se yells back, slammjng the door in his face. "Um guys, its that time..." He whispered looking st the rest of the crew. When they gave him weird looks he elaborated. "You know, of the month..." He said softly to the others whi were stRing at him.

message 67: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Jason shook his head. "Haunted, schmaunted. Let's just go."
Layla raised an eyebrow. "Whatever suits you." She murmured. "Wait. I'm captain here," she opened the captains quarters "LETS GO TO RAVENS COVE!!!" She yelled.

message 68: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments Chevelle walked out if er quarters and leaned against the wall.
"—COVE!"
"Did anyone else hear that? That was Layla!" She yelled, causing her crew to turn around. 'There must be something at a cove!' She thought. "tell me what coves are nearby!" She ordered.

message 69: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) ((Comment didn't save ugh
So... Uhh... Being within hearing distance is physically impossible, and you would certainly be within sight. Oh well.))

Layla squinted. "I think I see Chevelle's ship. Called it."

message 70: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments ((Oh well.. I commented super late i prolly wast thinking straight!))

message 71: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) ((Haha it's alright!))

message 72: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Well, there is Martyr Cove, King's Cove near here, about 40 miles away maximum, but there is Raven's Cove another 75 miles from King's Cove," Blake answered immediately. "We will check the closer ones first, it makes the most sense," Chevelle ordered.

message 73: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Layla looked at Jason. "Here, let's go to Cuba first, I need to meet with Esmeralda."
Jason frowned, "Captain, uh, that's the opposite direction from Raven's cove..."
Layla sighed. "Well. Yeah. But, I really do need to visit her, special task there."
"Alrighty then," Jason agreed reluctantly, "To Cuba we go."

message 74: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Martyr's cove it is then," Blake said. He told the other crew members and they sailed off in that direction.

message 75: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) *tiny jump in time* As they arrived in Cuba, Layla practically sprang off the ship. "Esmeralda!!!" She called, running across the island. A young woman with bright green eyes, dark black hair and smooth almond skin approached, a wide grin on her face. "Layla," she spoke, "t's been so long, I've been waitin' for ya to come back."

message 76: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments They finally landed, and she searched the place top to bottom with no luck.

message 77: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) "Sorry Esmeralda..." Layla said, dragging her toe through the sand. "I heard you had something to show me?"
"Some'un, not some'thin." Esmeralda replied, and gestured to her gypsy tent. "Look inside."

message 78: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments ((OOOOH WHO IS IT?!?! XD))

Chevelle was angry. "We searched the place with NOTHING?!" She yelled. "Search it again! You missed something!"

message 79: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) ((Heh heh, we'll see))

Layla pulled one of the flaps from the tent open. "OH MY GOD." She screamed and flung herself inside. When Jason looked inside the tent he saw Layla in a huge bear hug.
Layla broke free after a while. "I haven't seen you since..." She trailed off. One of the two people inside of the tent, a young woman with Snow White hair, a snowy colored complexion and two different colored--one green and one blue--eyes, and a blue, slim fitting sapphire dress, spoke first. "Layla. Just forget about that."
"But I thought you both were... Dead." Layla mumbled, her voice faltering.
The other figure in the tent, a handsome young man with stunning blue eyes, midnight black hair and black attire was the next to speak.
"Leia was paralyzed for four years, I lost my hand, but we're both fine." He waved a mechanical hand back and forth.
Layla thought back to the last time she'd seen Leia and Alex. Alex had been stabbed in the hand and was out cold, while Leia had taken a blade to the spine and was losing life quickly. Layla had brought the ship to Cuba and sent them to Esmeralda in hopes that she could perform some sort of gypsy magic on the two, but Layla had to leave when a huge tsunami struck the island.
"How did you survive the tsunami?" Layla asked, looking from Leia to Alex.
"Ahem," Alex said, clearing his throat, "you don't think we're used to the water?"
Layla stared at him.
"Alright, alright. We found high ground shelter, by the rest of the island was devastated."
Layla buried her head in Alex's arm. "I'm just thrilled you're alive."

message 80: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments Chevelle sighed, distressed with how lackluster her crew was. "We WILL find it!" She said. They were now at King's Cove, and they were tearing up every inch for treasure.

message 81: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Layla sat up. "Why are you here?"
Leia and Alex shrugged. "We just came to dock, we hoped you'd be here soon." They replied in unison.
Layla raised an eyebrow. "Creepy twin speak. Why were you looking for me?"
Leia grinned. "We're coming with you to raven's cove."

message 82: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments Later that night, Chevelle had joined in the search, even dirtying herself over the so-called treasure. Blake pranced up to her, still in a good mood after all of of the tiring work. He looked at her with a concerned expression etched on his face. "Chevelle, captain, I think you should rest. You've been working harder than the rest of us. You need to relax. We still have Raven Cove left to check." He said, trying to lift her spirits. Chevelle glanced up at him, an almost crazed look burning in the back of her eyes. "We aren't giving up. We can't!" Her voice rose until she was yelling, still on her knees, digging with her bare hands in a corner of the tavern. Blake hoisted her up, Chevelle falling limply against him. He had never seen her like this before; which reminded him thst she was still human. She thought it was such a shame she was always so guarded all the time. "C'mon, let's go Captain', he carried andh end onto her against her struggling. "Stop, put me down," she rebelled, hitting him with weak fists. They were the last two left in the cove--the rest of the crew had turned in for the day, already on the boat-- and he boarded them, and he carried her to her quarters and set her down on her oct taking off her hat. "But, but," she protested, and Blake laid a finger gently against her lips. "Sleep. You need it," he said lightly, just before Chevelle closed her eyes.

message 83: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) "And what," Layla stumbled, "do you think will be in raven's cove?"
"Clues. Riddles. All of the above." Alex grinned.
"They lead to an exquisite reward somewhere else." Leia added, beaming at Layla.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Layla asked, "Let's go!"

((Sorry for the shorter posts. I think at some point we should have our charries working together. Maybe. But idk how to incorporate that. Hmm..))

message 84: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments ((I agree! Maybe Blake passes by Layla's ship for help because Chevelle has gone mad or something? I don't wanna make it all about my charrie though! So just tell me what you think! :) ))

Blake looks around for any other ships close by to help with Chevelle's condition. He couldn't have a captain less ship, and he wasn't ready to temporary fill the spot.

((Sorry the post is puny!))

message 85: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) ((Yeah, it'll be hard since both characters are too {for lack of a better word} stubborn to work with each other. And don't worry, I've been busy so my posts are way shorter than usual.))
Layla set sail, and behind her was Alex and Leia's ship. Jason stared at Alex angrily through his telescope. Why couldn't he have the looks that Alex had. Jason had a mop of dark red and brown colored hair, and light sea green eyes. He felt too plain for Layla.
"Sullivan!!" Layla called, snapping Jason from his daze. "What're you dreaming about?"
"Just tracking the sunset.." Jason lied sheepishly. Layla rolled her eyes. "Whatever floats your goat." She murmured. Jason couldn't help but smile at her odd sense of humor.

message 86: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments Blake kept sailing, keeping a constant eye on Chevelle. Eventually, he saw two ships in the distance. His hopes were ignited, as he hoped that something could be done to help Chevelle. He sent off a flare and waited for her response.

message 87: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Layla turned. "Was that... A flare?" She snatched the telescope from Jason. "That's Chevelle! What on earth..."
Jason looked just as confused. "Should we go over there?"
"Surely she doesn't want our help. I mean...." Layla trailed off
"Worth a shot?" Jason asked, noting that Leia and Alrx had turned towards Chevelle.

message 88: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments He paced back and forth, extremely worried about Chevelle. 'Would the ships get here before she breaks down the door?' He thought, glancing over at Chevelle, jiggling the handle violently, screaming, "let me out! We need to find it! Turn the damn ship around!" Blake was worried for her health. Being this obsessed with something couldn't possibly be good.

message 89: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Leia and Alex reached the ship first, and Alex swung over. "Yo. What's the big deal?" He asked the first guy he stumbled across, which happened to be Blake.
((Lol dat pirate talk doe))

message 90: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments ((Lol right tho?))

"Something is wrong with Chevelle... She-she's gone mad! You've got to help her!" Blake practically begged.

((Sorry it's short. Working on hw))

message 91: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) ((Don't worry about it, my posts have been short.))
Alexander raised an eyebrow. Leia, who had just swung aboard, beamed at the two. "We'll help."
"We will?" Alex asked incredulously.
"I sense that something good will come from this." Leia stated.
"Yeah, you and your 'psychic' powers." Alex muttered sarcastically.
"Hey now!" Leia interjected. "My psychic skills have saved your life many times over!"
Alex rolled his eyes. "Maybe. I bet it's just luck."
"We're in." Leia told Blake.

message 92: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Thank you! Thank you! She is in here!" He ushered them to her quarters, where she had given up banging on the door and was now trying to "dig" her way out of the room, but clearly, to no avail.

((Gtg to bed.. Night!))

message 93: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Leia grinned and scooted up closer to the door. "Excuse me, Chevy, miss, it's Leia." She said with a sort of innocent sweetness. Alex facepalmed.
"Leia, nothing good can come from this."
Leia ignored him. "Remember me?" She called through the door, tracing a finger along the details on the door.

message 94: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Leia?!" Chevelle asked, jumping up to the door. "you've got to help me! There is something in King's Cove and I HAVE to find it!" She practically yelled.

message 95: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) ((Maybe Leia just brings everyone together and that's how they work together? Idk.))

"King's cove?" Leia asked, an odd sort of confused look on her face. "I didn't know there was anything there. Is it valuable?"

message 96: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "There was, I swear! But they wouldn't let me check it out!" She yelled. "Just let me out!"

message 97: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) Leia pulled open the door. "C'mere dear."

message 98: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "Thank God!" She exclaimed, running out of the now open door. "Turn the ship around!"

message 99: by Christine (new)

Christine (cmgz5) "Where on earth are you going?" Leia asked, raising an eyebrow. "You felt pretty warm when you ran past, I hope you don't have a fever."
Alex looked at her in disbelief. "In half a second. You think she has a fever."
"Well I don't know for sure." Leia replied and brushed Alex's forehead with the back of her hand. "You don't have a fever."
"Good to know." Alex replied, shaking the hair from his eyes

message 100: by Addisen (new)

Addisen | 4577 comments "We've got to move this ship that way!" Chevelle yelled. "Turn it around now!" She added frantically, her eyes crazed and dark circle under them.
