Cecily I'm currently reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, and I'm not completely sure whether or not this is an actual typo, but on page 255 after the page break in the hardcover version, here's a large typo.

I move to Cal's side. He barely notices, his eyes burning at the floor.
"How many dead?"
"Ten so far," he mutters. "Three in the shooting, eight in the explosion. Fifteen more wounded."

The last time I checked, three plus eight equaled eleven , not ten.

If any of you guys spotted this, please tell me.

There's also the fact that right before that, Mare says that blood dripped from her sleeve, leaving a spotted silver trail, though she's always made it clear before that her blood was, in fact, red, and not silver.

Any thoughts? Any typos from other books to share?

Smiles,
Yellow Eccentrcity

Becky The blood thing, its not her blood, its the blood of the dead silvers around her.

The maths is the same in the paper back version too

Okay about the blood thing, but why wasn't that made clear in the text? Of course the math is the same, I just thought that because the hardcover version is usually released before the paperback, it might've been fixed.

Thank you for commenting!

Becky I didn't even notice the error until you pointed it out. When I read it I just accepted that 3 + 8 = 10.

It probably wasn't made clear because the author knew what she meant. And probably so did the publisher. They lived with the premise of the book for much, much longer than us readers.

There was some questioning about it and (not 100%) sure hut they said it was a typo

Lexie haha....thats pretty funny actually

Nikki Johnson I found another on page 244 (hardcover) it's in the third paragraph and says," They leave a a blood-spattered ballroom", in the text you can see two a's...

Cecily Nice one.

Lily The 3+8=10 error was driving me crazy! It's funny how big things sometimes go unnoticed like that.

Liz Ruiz maybe the typo if for the author to play with our minds...
but about the blood thing, she fell next to a dead silver so that might be why she has the blood

Isabela DaSilva I saw another mistake, when Maven says: "Lady Blonos had to go, of course. Decapitation deals nicely with skin healers."

When she is in fact a blood healer. These kinds of errors make it really frustrating to keep on reading. I always go back a thousand times thinking I'm the one that read it wrong.

Victoria I'm kind of late to this show but: how is no one talking about the fact that silvers can bruise?? I mean, bruises happen when your blood vessels burst beneath your skin, so what you are seeing is just a little pool of your blood underneath your skin, like when you see your veins.
So how in all hell is it possible for people with silver blood to have noticeable bruises? Are they just different and like white or something?

The silver blood wasn't actually hers.

Vicki Warby I had to google whether anyone else spotted the maths problem cos it was driving me mad and your post came up. I spot at least one error or typo in almost literally every book I read. :(
