Now I see it is, but I hadn't noticed until just now. I wish I'd noticed before because my non-commute reading time is more limited. I'm over half done now with my paperback though; so I'll probably keep going that way. At least it's a good book!
Shawnie wrote: I ended up buying it and added the audio for an additional $4I got the Audible version too and it was excellent. Patricia Rodrigues did a really good job of portraying the characters. I never once got confused over who was speaking which is sometimes difficult for a single narrator with a whole bunch of main characters like this book.

Nimoa recruited!

:D My library copy expired before I finished it, and I was so into the book that I HAD to buy it and add the audio.

Ooooooooh. Learn something new every day.
I just got notified that "Angry Planet" came in at the library. I'm not sure I can finish it by the end of July.

You'll just have to find another category for it. Maybe you can use it on a villain later.

How was this translation Wayland? I want to read it again someday, but I'd like to try a different translation than the one I read last time.
It was a bit odd. It wasn't a story so much, it was an ongoing epic poem, which wasn't what I was expecting. I'm not really a poetry kind of guy. If you want an idea of the original source material, check it out.

This week was focused on beating up Brainiac and Team Marvel won it by a margin.
For them Christina, Shawnie, Rinn and Kate defeated our villain. Shawnie took the MVP spot by additionally recruiting Squirrel Girl.
For Team DC Dawn, Milou and Veronica defeated Brainiac, while Melanie recruited Nimona. Dawn was the MVP by also recruiting Batgirl.
As it was aksed again this week, due to the release date of A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet in the US, you have until (and including) August 7th to finish it and make it count for an Energy Cell.
Speaking of Energy Cells, this week was a 3:2 win for Team DC.
And as the month is coming to an end we need another villain for you to beat in August.
In honor of all the things we learnt at this year's Comic Con about the upcoming Black Panther movie next year, we'll go with one of his classic villains, Man-Ape, the White Gorilla. Enjoy beating him. :)
Man-Ape
Active from 01/08/2016 - 31/08/2016

1. Man-Ape
Read a book with an ape/monkey on the cover or with an ape/monkey appearing in it. (Can be a character, but doesn't have to be)
2. The White Gorilla Cult
Read a book with a predominantly white cover or with any sort of blood ritual (magic) in it.
3. Lethal Legion
Read a book with "lethal" or "legion" in the title or where a pov character is part of an army/military unit. Being in the army should be an active part of the story, so not a charcter where it was just mentioned that they are/were in the army, but it doesn't play a role in the story.

For Lethal Legion, does the character have to be a soldier or would being part of the military police count?
I would suggest energy cells as it gives more opportunity for all of team DC to earn more points. But you joined the challenge late, so if it's important to you to finish the challenge before the year's end, focus on the recruitments. We're not actually picky as long as you are having fun and reading books you like.
Audrey wrote: "I'm torn between reading for energy cells and for traits."
I agree with what Melanie said! I'd go for energy cells first. We're not hurting for points yet, but DC has lapped up already in cells. :)

That book looks good Wayland! - I'm thinking of adding it to my to-read list. Did you like it?
