Yes, the character should get the weapon within the story. For the Grim Reaper he started out with a technological scythe and he did get a magical one later, so the process of "getting it" fits the character.

I usually end up avoiding hyped up books in case of disappointment. But picked this one up on a whim. I am so so so glad I did. It was incredible. I can't even explain exactly why, it was just perfect in so many ways.

Thanks for all your patience, but now the 2 week update is here. Team Marvel won this period again and we had a ton of recruitments and defeats on both sides.
For Team Marvel Rinn was the MVP by recruiting Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl and Jessica Jones. Black Manta was defeated by Shawnie, Christina, Kate and Karen. Agent Coulson got recruited by Wayland Brittany, while Ms. Marvel was added to the teams of Soila and Sam.
Sam also recruited Jessica Jones. In addition to that, Brendan added Star-Lord, Wayland recruited Blade and Shawnie signed Jessica Jones.
For Team DC Melanie was the MVP by recruiting Supergirl, Lobo and Firestorm. Black Manta was defeated by Veronica and Milou. And in addition to that Ana A recruited Batgirl, and Dawn added Commissioner Gordon and Supergirl to her roster.
The Energy Cell race went to Team DC with 3 to 2.
