So guys, this movie comes out on 2015 on Valentine's day. Are you going to watch it or not? As for me I don't think I can stand watching this on cinema. I'd probably stick to my reading imaginations. Hahaha!

Yes, I will watch, but I expect to be disappointed.

From watching the previews...the actors...prob wont watch the movie..or wait to see at Redbox... it just might kill the book for me...LOL

You would have to pay me the United States national debt in order to watch this movie!

No way!!!!!! I don't think its going to be anything like the book.

I will do no such thing, I have seen the cast for the movie and seeing my past history with book turning into a movie, I'll pass. This will just save me from being pissed off

Nawl, I wait til gets on DVD.

I probably won't because I'm under 18 but I'll try to download it. :D

yes i will. Just out of curiosity tho.

Nope - movies are rarely as good as the books although Lord of the Rings is one exception. I found the book to be as boring as batshit but love, love, loved the movies.
To go to the cinema and watch FSOG would be like sitting with 100 complete strangers and watching a porno....

Yes yes yes!

I just hope that the movie is not pg13 that will ruin the book because it supposed to be rated R or not rated at all. So if they make the movie Pg13 I'm not watching it...

I want to watch the movie even though the casting visually looks nothing like the characters in my head. I just really want to see how Mrs Robinsons character turns out on the big screen. I don't know why i want to know how she turns out. I just do haha

I haven't decided yet however since the book was three installments are they doing 3 movies? If so I might just wait until they all come out and just watch all three during one weekend.

ABSOLUTELY! The sneak peek pics I've seen look amazing! Will probably wait to watch it at home though.

Never.

Of course I will.

I'm just finishing up the audiobooks for the second time. I did lose interest in watching the film when the whole "Who will play Christian?" was everywhere. But...after listening to the books again, I'm quite excited :)

Deborah Camp I really love the audiobooks! I think the narrator did a terrific job!

Deborah Camp I recall when Tom Cruise was chosen to be the lead in "Interview with a Vampire." I was shocked and dismayed. But then I saw the movie and it was fine ...more

Of course, I need to see if Hollywood screws it up or not.

I haven't decided yet. Probably not in theaters, but when it's on HBO I'll probably end up watching it. I didn't like the book and I hated who they cast in the movie so I'm not really that invested/interested in it.

I think I will wait for it to come out in stores or rent it on direct TV, then decide.

I will see it but after watching some of the trailers on you tube it probably isn't going to do the book justice.

My husband and I plan to go see it together. I have seen so many people that do not want to see this because it is not the leading man they would have chosen, but I think that everyone needs to remember that this IS how the author pictures Christen Grey and she was on the set as they were filming, so how ever this movie is played out it is being played out the way that she wants it to.

DH and I are for sure going. Can't wait.

Um, i don't think that's the type of movie i watch xD or can watch xD

terrible choice. it should've been matt bomer.

Of course I will go see the movie! Why not? How could it hurt? I think the actors they've selected will do a fine job. Watching the movie won't have any impact on the enjoyment I received from the books. It's a different form of entertainment and I'm interested to see what elements they take from the book.

This is one book I have absolutely no desire to read. But a group of us go to the movies every Tuesday, at a discount theater, so if it comes to that theater I'm sure we'll see it.

Oh yes, I will.

yes i will be watching the movie but i dont think it will have any comparison to the books. i doubt it will be anywhere as good as the books. Theres no way they
can squeeze all the good stuff into one movie... i really wish they did a HBO tv series instead.

Movie adaptations usually disappoint me. Besides, how could they possibly put this into a one and a half or two-hour movie? No, I don't think so.

I think it will be disappointing and not worth the money. I didn't really like the book either and I didn't bother reading the other ones.

Yea course but I hope they don't mess it up.

Yes! Sure I'm going to watch it!
I've read it together with my best friend already and we were like crazy when reading it already. Watching the movie now will be SO GOOD! Well, I hope it will be good. Jamie Dornan is not bad I have to say. And Dakota will be good, too. I hope!!

I am just curious to see how much of the book and the story line the put in it. Going to be weird though because I am sure, like myself, everyone has their own vision of what Christian looks like and then to see this guy it may ruin it for all us. I will eventually watch it, but prolly wait on it to come out of theaters.

I will watch it when it come's out on Red Box.:)

FOR SURE!!!!

Honestly, I think it's gonna suck. Because the actors and actresses are not right.

Yes! But I know it's not gonna be as good as the book

Definitely yes!
I love the story!

Hell yeah! Of course! I hope the actors /actresses will give justice to the characters.

Off subject but don't know where to ask.....wasn't there supposed to be a book "his side"??? I know there was an excerpt in the book I read!

I'm like 98% sure I'll go see it. Every other week I go to the movies with my college/teacher friends and we watch a movie. We all read the book so we'll probably see this one too.

I'm pretty sure I'll cringe out of embarrassment of reading the novel and seeing how mousy Anastasia really is on the big screen.

I'm definitely going to see the movie and more than likely the day it comes out!!! I am worried about being disappointed though.... Its not gonna be as good as the book or my imagination! The movies to me are never as good as the book or what I imagined in my head.... Still cant wait for it though. Now If they would just make "This Man" series into a movie....That would be Kick ass !!! LOL

I will watch the movie, but will wait until it comes out on Netflix. I read the first two books in the series, but didn't feel like reading the last one. I was bothered by how innocent Ana was and she reminded of myself in a similar situation when I was her age, swept away by an older man's charm and wealth only to be left behind. It hurt badly and took me several years get over. I am much older now, married to a wonderful man and we are very much in sync, so I can watch the movie and look at it as purely entertainment (prurient) and not as a model of what I should be looking for in life. I think that is why the books generated so much discussion: Is this what women really want? How dangerous is this to our self-esteem? Keeping things in check, though, there is nothing original about the books or the movie. 9 1/2 Weeks was the same thing and the femme fatales of noir films would kick Christian Grey's ass. I would seriously put my money on Barbara Stanwyck over Grey.

I will probably wait until it's on demand and watch it at home.

Not old enough to watch it- I think I was way too young when I started reading this trilogy, but I love it.

Yes definitely

I have to watch it because I'm curious if they are going to do a descent job of it. I'm not crazy about Dakota being Anna but there isn't really going to be a perfect Grey.

I would not waste any money on it. I didn't think the book was that good to be a movie. I'm totally over the phenomenon.
