I love Agatha! This could be fun - I"ll try to jump in after I have my other reading groups under control.

1. The Girl with All the Gifts - stupid zombie road story. Still finishing last year bookclub books
2. White Nights - pretty lovely even thought I felt like I had read some of those stories
3. Life, Only Better - Gavalda really knows.. love this.
4. Speaking from Among the Bones (Flavia de Luce #5) - Flavia and church stuff.. little bit Nancy Drew
5. Kapina ja kaipuu: Kultaiset tyttökirjaklassikot - biographas and readers memoirs about those golden girly books (and reason why I'm rereading Anne)
6. Saga, Volume 1 (Saga: Collected Editions #1) - interesting start (maybe?)
7. Saga, Volume 2 (Saga: Collected Editions #2)
8. The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches (Flavia de Luce #6) - wtf?
9. The Curious Case of the Copper Corpse (Flavia de Luce #6.5) - stupid Flavia short-story
10. Saga, Volume 3 (Saga: Collected Editions #3)
11. Saga, Volume 4 (Saga: Collected Editions #4)
12. Saga, Volume 5 (Saga: Collected Editions #5)
13. Pelaaja (Culture #2) - suprasingly good story, I may continue with Culture books
14. Harry Potter ja viisasten kivi (Harry Potter #1) - Potter with pictures didn't really change anything, good story still especially while reading with Flavia's school book same time
15. As Chimney Sweepers Come to Dust (Flavia de Luce #7) - Flavia and boarding school are not match in heaven
16. M Train - some books are just pure love.
17. Saga #31 (Saga #31)
18. Saga #32 (Saga #32)
19. Dumb Witness (Hercule Poirot #16) - pretty good
20. The Long Earth (The Long Earth #1) - very interesting idea but it wasn't really going anywhere.. the serie books, ugh
21. Day Four (The Three #2) - quite disgusting and no explatations
22. Rasavillejä ja romantikkoja - and more interesing books here
23. Cycles of the Sun: How it Affects Life on Earth - pretty basics
24. Ensimmäinen sekunti - Silminnäkijän kertomus - cosmos stuff with bad jokes
25. Mouthful of Forevers - poems.. I liked them pretty much
26. Modern Romance - some interesting stuff but the mostly dating stuff in quite boring game
27. Casting Norma Jeane: A Starlet is Transformed Into Marilyn Monroe - well, maybe not everybody would have been totally mesmerized by Marilyn?
28. Finders Keepers (Bill Hodges Trilogy #2) - finally finished this.. would work better without trilogy stuff, I mean half of book is without Bill
29. Poirot and Me - David's story playing Poirot
30. Circadian Rhythms: Below Our Awareness - pretty basic
31. Saga #33 (Saga)
32-37. Saga #1 - 6 (Saga) - rereading from the beginning
38. Black Butterfly - going through last years poertry nominees, this was good

January Saga, Volume 1; Dumb Witness, Modern Romance
February Odd Thomas (Odd Thomas #1), Saga, Volume 2, All the Bright Places
March Forever Odd, Beneath the Surface, I Am Malala, Death on the Nile
April Cinder, Partners in Crime
May Appointment with Death
June Brother Odd, Pride and prejudice
July The Fellowship of the Ring
August Sad Cypress, Grunt: The Curious Science of Humans at War
September When Breath Becomes Air
October The Ice twins
November Evil Under the Sun, Nimona, The Day the Crayons Came Home
December

I rolled my eyes for the first few chapters (well probably more then that) of The Girl with all the Gifts but by the end I was mezmorized (sp?). Not by the zombie crap but by the theories and results. If you can hang with it it is very thought provoking and I'm still mulling it over in my head.

We thought it'd be cool to learn more about the people, places, or time period in the fictional books we read! This challenge lets your fictional reading inspire you to read nonfiction books or vice versa.
You'll read books in pairs. Read any fiction book. Then, read a nonfiction book about any part of that fictional work. Or read a nonfiction book, then find a fictional work that's related to it.
**Moderated challenge

Many countries around the world use advent calendars or Christmas calendars to celebrate the month of December. For some people, the calendar has religious significance, but for others it's a secular, non-religious tradition.
For this challenge, there are two options:
A) Starting on Dec. 1 and ending on Dec. 24, read a short story (or a poem!) every day. Use stories or poems from collections, magazines, or the internet - there's lot of good short fiction available for free from many publishers.
B) Starting on Dec. 1: Split a novel into 24 chunks and portion your reading so that you read the last chunk on Dec. 24. (Ideally the novel has 24 chapters to start with! But as long as you can manage to count out even-sized* chunks, it'll work.)
* Most calendars provide a bigger treat for Dec 24.
Any novel or bunch of stories will work - but seasonal themes like winter, kindness, family, friendship, gift-giving, etc. will definitely work well with the whole spirit of the season.
