ABANDONED. A few years ago, I came across a book that I (unfortunately) did not buy. It was about all the women in a man's life going missing. I think one of them was his wife and another maybe a mistress.

I really wish I did. I don't remember the cover. As for the year, I believe that it had to be at least three years ago.

Why were they going missing, was he abducting them, or was it just coincidence? Was there a detective? Horror/creepy vibe, or just mysterious?

Just mysterious. And after talking to someone else about it I'm questioning if it was the women or the man that went missing. I have so little information and I feel like I'll never find the book.

Maybe Mrs. Kimble? It's about a man who leaves his first wife out of the blue, and then goes on to marry two other women over the next few decades, each time for selfish/financial reasons. The man dies at the beginning of the book and eventually the women in his life track each other down and compare notes to piece together the events in his life and his motivation for marrying them all.
