C. | 289 comments This is what everyone says about her, so imagine my surprise when I come across a graphic sex scene in the first book in her Cedar Cove series[16 Lighthouse Road]! It's with the separated couple Cecilia and Ian Randall.

There are also quite a few scattered mild swears, and some not so mild, but they don't bother me as long as they aren't pervasive and 'F' bombs or religious swears.

However, I do not care for sex scenes! Nor did I appreciate the filthy, disgusting character with the sexually crude talk- Justine's old pervert boyfriend!

Definitely not "squeaky clean" as so many describe her books!

Ramla Zareen Ahmad | 62 comments You are right, not all of Debbie Macomber's books are 'clean' ...though in my opinion, many of her books can be described as 'reasonably clean'.

In any case, though I usually find her books enjoyable, but after coming across some that contained more intimate details than I cared for, I have come to the conclusion that it's always a good idea to check out the reviews or ask a friend's feedback before reading any of her books.

You are so right Ramla, but I have actually seen forum posts where some say that her books are 'squeaky clean', and some are, but as we know, some are not. That's why it definitely is a good idea to read the 1-2 star reviews.
