Nethra Ram (nethraram) | 372 comments I've been off focussed reading for a bit. My fault really...I let reality get to me. But now I am back and in a land I know and love as my own :) What better warm welcome than to attack the headquarters of my modest book collection!

I have about 200 books in my tiny personal collection and this year I am going to attempt to read as many of those books as I can. I'm setting my sights on 20 and if the book-gods be willing, maybe more,

I put up book sales when I finish titles, selling them for small amounts which I then donate to charity, mostly animal and pet-related establishments. Hoping for a bookish 2016 and all the joy that comes with it! Happy reading to you :)

Cassandra | 5832 comments Nethra, is this a goal for 2016? If so, I'll move it to the 2015 folder for you.

Nethra Ram (nethraram) | 372 comments Hey Cassandra!

I just noticed that I put it in the 2015 folder by mistake :( This is a goal for 2016. My bad. Could you move it to the 2016 folder? Thanks :)

Nethra Ram (nethraram) | 372 comments Book #1 - Who Will Cry When You Die? by Robin Sharma

Who Will Cry When You Die?: Life Lessons From The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari

I participated in a book exchange pyramid in December last year and got a bunch of books from people on my friends' list. Although it was funny that I got four copies of To Kill A Mockingbird, I did end up with a few awesome titles. This book is one of 'em.

I am quite neutral about 'self-help' books. It takes a while to sift through the information and find the type of writing that appeals to your mind, or actually pushes you to improve. I am not a Sharma-evangelist, quite possibly because I've been preached the same material over and over from other corners. But I liked this book chiefly because of its structuring.

I like how the information is presented in bite-sized chapters so you can get through them quickly without rambling back stories. If you are already a motivated person looking for specific booster doses of encouragement, or leads to other reading material, this is a good place to be.

One down on the shelf. So many many more to go! Hai yah! :D

I did it! I did it! I can't believe I did it! :)

And then she runs around the room in slow motion, the tome raised above her head, the Rocky theme playing in the background. The crowd cheers on.
