Thank you for the opportunity to review this fine book. I appreciate the idea that this author allowed me to receive a free book in exchange for an honest review. First of all I have to say that I am no great fan of books that rely on flashbacks. It is sometimes a problem to keep the action moving smoothly when you keep having to stop and read historical data needed to keep up.
That being said, this author did a good job in utilizing that approach without the feeling of lagging into the past too much.
The theme of a virus that causes mutations has been a staple of numerous book, such as Wild Cards series. This book could have easily fit into that collection it had a lot of the same ideas and used several similar powers.
I am not disappointed with this book. It is a high action thriller that will keep you engaged to the last sentence.
Overall this is a four star book. I would think this could have easily been a series of books but it's setup leads us feeling that it may be a stand alone with some chance of a follow up book.
I liked this book and again, I wish to thank the author and Goodreads for the opportunity.
