What you need to know about the characters.

Shape-shifters:Arguably the most human monsters out there, Shape-shifters have the ability to take the shape of another moving, living thing like-for-like. If they have objects on them such as a bag, when they shape shift, it just blends in with their new skin. The only thing that distinguishes them that they are actually half human, is their human eyes when they're in their other form. Their eyes doesn't change, but their limbs and body shifts to the shape of the other form; and they can do so just by concentrating. It gets better with practice.
Dark Warlocks/Dark Witches:Some people might ask, why do we classify these two dark creatures together? Mainly because they're the male and female version of each other. They are main magic users and can cast powerful spells if they're old enough. Unlike White Warlocks and Witches, these Dark beings cast dark magic - or black magic, some may say; and most of their intentions are bad. They will never do good with their ability to cast spells, and if they're powerful enough, they can cast magic that causes intense pain through the victim's body, or something just about as torturous. However, younger Dark Warlocks and Witches are more playful in using their magic, but is just as evil as well.
White Warlocks/White Witches:The exact opposite of their dark counterparts. These Light beings are able to cast spells that helps people, sometimes peace or growth; and will never partake in black magic casting. There isn't much to say about them, but they do have fighting and self defence magical abilities too; it depends on what lesson they go through and how they are taught and what magic base they have.
Ghosts:Ghosts are a rare type of species, whereby they have recently died and have no where to go. Most of these Ghosts are souls that chances upon places, and they can take their place there. They have magical powers too, like telekinesis or telepathy, depending on how strong they are. As human, if they had done honourable things, as a Ghost, they would be granted better powers as well. (view spoiler) They can materialise into someone tangible, so people can actually feel them but they usually find it more difficult to express their emotions, simply because they're already dead.
Werewolves:Similarly to shape-shifters, they can change their forms as and when they want; but only to their werewolf form. Most of these werewolves are in a pack, but there are others who are considered lone wolves, who does not like working in a pack and likes going solo. They are however, very loyal to people they meet and they can have powers like telepathy to communicate with fellow werewolves as well as heightened senses. They are stronger in their wolves form, and mostly uses physical fighting instead of spell casting like the warlocks or witches.
Faeries:Mysterious creatures that uses magic for offence and defence as well. They're a milder kind of magic user, and most of the time they keep themselves out of trouble. Faeries can have wings and sometimes the wings can grant them a special power like teleportation or extra speed, depending on the type of wings they have since young. That will be their main powers, but they can also use magic, also depending on what they study and learn in the school.
Vampires:In this modern day, Vampires don't really feed on blood to survive anymore and they can still go out into the sun without being burnt alive or anything like that. They can do whatever a regular human can do, like eating and sleeping but they usually stay up at night. Vampires have heightened sense of hearing and eyesight, and they also have super physical abilities. They can jump long distances, run so fast it makes them seem like they're teleporting. Like werewolves, they use physical fights more than magical ones, and their fangs are purely for transforming someone to a vampire or giving lethal damage to a victim or opponent. Because of that, there's always a rumour about the animosity between Werewolves and Vampires.
Merpeople:Merpeople are creatures of the sea, but in this world, Mermaids can have human legs and are just extremely agile in water, making water its domain. They can transform back to have a tail in a large water body, otherwise they have magic, depending on what they learn or they can also fight physically, using a varied amount of weapons. The thing that distinguishes them from a regular human is their ability to transform and to become one with the water by using it to their advantage.
Angels:Creatures who are made to be pure and innocent, magical beings. They can fly as well, when their wings are unleashed; usually white ones that spread out largely behind them. They use various forms of magic for combat, and are considered quite strong as a mystical creature. They have ability to heal people, but are still unable to bring back people from the dead as that is directly interfering with the laws of life and death.
Demons:Not to be mistaken as a Fallen Angel, demons are a whole different species of their own. Strong and older demons has an ability to possess people to get what they want, but it'll make them feel weak and tired for several hours. They're strongest at night, and mostly uses the shadows of things for combat and power. They're not necessarily evil, they'll just have the powers of a demon.
Sirens:Creatures who uses their voice for most of the things they do. In Greek Myth, they're said to be able to show you your perfect past, present or future through their singing. Sirens in this world, however cannot show you visions, but their singing can entrap you and they can sometimes manipulate you to do things if they want to. It depends on how they are as a person, but thye can also use it to do good.
Our character information is to give you a general idea of how each species work, so if you want a hybrid and the two species that you want to mix are not here, then please comment, I'll add them in the list! We don't have a specific list for different types of hybrids because we want to give the creators (you guys!) maximum freedom in building your character :)

If you ask me (and I'm not a mod, but I do want to help out), based on how I've seen other characters, you could probably make a shape-shifter with telekinesis?

Exactly what Sera said! A human who can shapeshift is basically a shapeshifter so yeah!
Rykenftw wrote: "Would a Dark Warlock that isn't necessarily evil, but may have some evil qualities, be okay? Like, we can say that he is very cold to most people, and uses the dark magic?"
Sure thing :)
The Count wrote: "May I do four warlocks based on the four horsemen?"
If you can handle all four actively, sure^^

Why not? :D

Hello! I'm planning on making a character (I'm debating between shapeshifter and vampire), and I was wondering if they could have the power of controlling an element? I've always liked it when characters controlled one of the elements, say fire. Would that be allowed as an extra type of magic?
Sure, that'd be fine haha my white warlock controls to a certain extent of the elements c: Sorry for the late reply by the way, didn't see the notification XD
That's alright, I'll get started on the character now but I probably won't post until later tonight or tomorrow >.< It takes me a long time to complete characters...
Ah it's perfectly fine! I will probably be on tomorrow night though (SG time) since I'll be out the whole day so yeap!
Mixed breeds of what? Just keep the powers reasonable and not overwhelming ^^ Half animals, sure!
You can tell me about the species here, I can add it into the list :)

Brownies can be a different species altogether, though they remind me of goblins c: I have the littlest idea of brownies, only seen pictures on google haha
I see, do you want me to add it in under a sub-type of fairies? Since you said they're similar, scrap my whole idea of different species XD
Well, they're not the same, but as far as size and everything.......well tbh when I was little I was told brownies were just boy faeries, but I don't think that's right. Let me look it up XD
There are several different types of brownies, and some of them should definitely not be angered. Angry brownies can turn into boggarts, but there are also brownie-clods, named for their love of throwing dirt at people, and Brown Men, who protect the animals on Cornwall’s Bodmin Moor. And then there’s the gruagach, a brownie that was originally a divine creature that farmers and shepherds appealed to for the safety of their herds.
Their purpose was doing tasks around the house, indoor and outdoor, and as long as they were treated well, they were generally happy, helpful creatures. Offer them clothes, though, and according to the story they’ll either leave because you’ve offended them, or leave just because they have new clothes and don’t feel the need to help any more. Brownies are notoriously difficult to keep happy, and how to do so varies in the telling of the stories. Some require milk and honey nightly, some get mad when they are thanked for their hard work, some get offended if their family calls them by a name or nickname.
the brownie is a small creature, usually male, who is thought of as a rather helpful soul to have around the house. Brownies will do tasks like churn butter, sweep the floors, and do the washing up. The physical description varies by area and retelling, although they’re always short, sometimes stout, sometimes slender, and usually dressed in rags or have no clothes at all. Some have distinctive features; Highland brownies don’t have toes or fingers, and Lowland brownies don’t have noses.
Here are three definitions, and I can probably find more.

Ahh interesting, I'll add it in tomorrow I guess, I'm too sleepy now haha c:

oops sorry I forgot to reply after reading ><
I think it's okay though I don't get the Falls point though; like what does it mean??
And I think the powers are a tad too overpowering, so maybe we can cut down on that too when we add it to the list ^^ what do you think?

Would it be okay if we made a new species out of certain ideas from the Lynxe? Because I to me I envision them as a vampire-bat-human hybrid; though for obvious reasons they aren't vampires. I get where Sera is coming from too, so that's why maybe we can add a sub tier to vampires up there? But because it's Danya's original idea, I don't want to do it before consulting since it'd seem like plagiarising to a small extent >< Hence my suggestion; do you guys understand it o.o
@Sera; Yeah I mean based on the appearance they look like vampire bats, we can change the powers I guess? ^^
Thanks Danya :)
Thanks Danya :)
