Okay so I know he's trustworthy in divergent but what about in insurgent [spoilers] when he tries to helps to kill tris, and when it doesn't work out he has no where else to go so he begs for her forgiveness, but does he really mean it?

I think in Insurgent he is not trustworthy, but in Allegiant he redeems himself and realizes his mistakes and becomes good. That's why Tris.... yeah. (I tried to make this post spoiler free so if you read Allegiant you know what I am talking about)

I felt bad for him at the end because he sounded so unhappy, but i dont really like him at all he is a brat

In the last book he TRIES to redeem himself but no he is not trustworthy
i dunno, from the first book he seemed strange to me. then when he *spoiler alert* literally nearly killed his own sister, i disliked him a lot more. but in allegiant when *spoiler alert* tris died for him, i sorta tried to forgive him, just like four. but i still can't really :/
*could be spoilers up ahead*I would say Caleb isn't trustworthy because, even in the first book, when Tris sneaks out of Dauntless to see Caleb, Caleb isn't as excited to see her; Faction Before Blood. He did look up what Tris asked him to do but it was because their mom asked Tris in the first place. In the second book when he helps Jeanine kill Tris he becomes a traitor. Obviously not trustworthy. Tris died for him in Allegiant out of love, and Caleb only volunteered to go through the death serum just to not feel guilty, he wanted Tris to forgive him but it wasn't an act of love.
I personally would never trust Caleb ever!! It must of been hard for Tris to see her own brother betray her. Caleb was always for 'faction before blood' which meant that if Tris became Erudite then maybe he could have been more trustworthy.

Ok, Caleb helps to try to kill his sister, but remember that Jeanine, an dangerously smart and manipulative person, was probably behind his actions. You can tell that he cared for Tris before leaving Abnegation, so it would have taken a lot of persuasion for him to betray her. I think Caleb is a really intriguing character who I would like to know more about. I wish there was a short story from his point of view instead of everything being about Tobias all the time!
I'm totally agree with you about Caleb but when you say that Tobias is always the center of attention I'm disagree seriously. It was the point view of Tris in all the books(with Tobias in the 3rd ). He is an interesting character with all happened in his life. So yaah I would like to see some books about Caleb's point view;) but at a point it would be a lot of repeat.
I absolutely love Caleb so much that I can't hep but forgive him. He just seems so loving and innocent. I immediately forgave him as soon as he wanted to redeem himself. I crazy as it is {spoiler alert} I would have went in the weapon room instead of him too. I could NEVER let him die like that. Which is kind of sad being that I still haven't even thought to forgive Peter. Peter is just, well, evil.
**Spoiler Alert!!!***If Tris was kind enough to forgive Caleb and give up her life for him, I think we should all forgive Caleb. Sure he made a lot of mistakes in Insurgent, but he really did ask for forgiveness with all his heart and he meant it when he said he was sorry. If Tris can forgive her own brother for almost killing her, then we can too.

*spoilers*I don't think he is trustworthy at all in the books after what he DIDN'T do to help Tris in Erudite, he was just going to let his own sister die. I still really dislike what happened at the end of Allegiant, his near 'sacrifice' wasn't out of love just to not feel guilty and Tris going in for him was something I just knew would happen but it really pissed me off.

No... He let his sister die for him and he betrayed Tris so many times its just unbelievable. How is this even a question. And the fact that tris forgave him just pisses me off even more because she was loving and selfless enough to forgive him after he betrayed her and then he let her die for him like the untrustworthy coward that he is. Im really mad that he survived. UGGHHH!!!

Nope even if it counted on my life How could anyone trust Caleb. He is literally the reason tris died. And he didn't even go and try to save her. I have always wondered what Caleb was doing while tris was risking her life for him

He starts to show trust in allegiant but it's hard to say I honestly wishhp he died but now that Ansel is playing him I don't want him to die!
Heck no he is not trustworthy... He should have been the one to die
In Insurgent I was confused and didn't know what I thought but in Allegiant I thought that Caleb was trustworthy, I love the game 'Candor' and how Caleb was just, I dunno, but now I really like the character Caleb!
