This is my first attempt at knocking off some of my ridiculous TBR pile. I'm hoping that it's a realistic goal based on how many books I read in a year and allowing me time to read newly purchased books. It's a little daunting but I'm from the country of Sir Edmund Hillary so I can do this! :)

The Colm Tóibín books have been on my shelves for nearly 5 years. I can't believe I waited that long to read them because I really enjoyed them. I've undone some of my good work by buying another 2 of his books.

Thanks. I slowed down a bit while I was in hospital as I was reading new stuff off my kindle but once I finish my current book I'll be back to my shelves. :)
Struggling a bit! I've been distracted by too many shiny new books. I'm still persevering even though realistically I won't make my target. I'm keen to see how many I do get through so I can adjust my aim for next year.22/75

I've enjoyed these two Ngaio Marsh books that I've had on my shelves for ages. I've got a few more but they're not in order, so now I want to get the set.

Well, didn't make my goal, but I'm happy to have at least gotten this many read. Some had been there for ages. I did also read one off my Kindle that had been there for quite some time, but I'm only counting physical books. I've signed up for next year with a more realistic goal. I did read a lot - 150 books but most were new books off my Kindle with a bunch of physical books as well.
