K.P. Merriweather (kp_merriweather) | 266 comments I wish my books were cheaper (sob!) but if you want some doorstoopers to chuck at someone, take your pick!

Series: The Agency
Genre: Psychological
Chain Reaction

Dangerous Methods

Borderline

Series: Devil Hunter Isawa Chronicles
Genre: Historical Fantasy
Demonic Awakening vol 1

Demonic Awakening vol 2

Series: SIGNET
Genre: Science Fiction/Action Adventure
The Most Unlikely Beginnings

edit: I noticed my costs jumped for some reason, though I hadn't raised the print price. =O_O= I guess due to the cost of paper? I'll see what I can do...

Missy Sheldrake (missysheldrake) | 252 comments Please consider one or both of my paperbacks. Pricing is $14.00 and they are both fantasy.

Both covers were hand-painted by myself, and both include black and white illustrations by me. (The kindle editions have color illustrations, and you get the kindle version for free with matchbook if you buy the paperback.)

Azaeli's parents are Knights of His Majesty's Elite, and Azi has dreamed her whole life of becoming a squire to the guild and one day a knight like her mother. When she is finally taken as a squire, her name is left off of the list for the King's Quest, and her family and their guild ride off without her. The quest turns tragic, leaving Azi and her father cursed, and her mother missing.

She and her best friend Rian, who is a Mage Apprentice and the son of the guild's leader, must unravel a sorcerous plot that threatens not only the welfare of their guild, but the peace that their kingdom, Cerion, has celebrated for over a century.

This series has fairies, Mages, Sorcery, princes and princesses, magic, adventure, quests, and so much more. Reviews say that the world is well developed and rich, and the characters are deep and relatable. It's billed as a YA, but I wrote it with anyone in mind. I have had 12 year old girls and boys rave to me about it, and 30-40 year old men ask me impatiently for the next installment.

I hope you consider checking them out. Thanks so much for doing this. :)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments K.P. wrote: "it's cool. are you using a randomizer?"

If I get more than ten (which I already have) I do a screen and choose the ten I will most likely enjoy. Ok that's not exactly fair but I want to read (and possibly) review the books so I need to be tempted.

After that, last time I sent the list to Christina who shared it with Ann. They mixed the names so I wouldn't know which order they were. I asked my husband to do a /random number in an online MMORPG we play so I had nothing to do with the chosen numbers. I sent them to Christina who returned me the list.

Since I had spared money at the time I bought the ones who won and added a few more for kicks.

I'll probably do something like that again this time. As for buying more, it will depends on who wins and how much money I have to put in books in two weeks. I'm hoping to buy more than I pledged. :)

C.M. Halstead (cmhalstead) | 46 comments Book One of The Tripper Series introduces us to seven strong anti-hero's. Three of them are rookies and still getting used to the idea of it all; saving the world, being the good guy, dying every once in awhile as part of the job, it will take these men and women some time to get used to that!

If you are into strong female characters, balanced male characters, experiencing group dynamics in stressful situations, time-travel done with a different purpose (than usual), reading a new authors first novel, or just plain ole escaping your grind for a few hours. . .this book has been described as a snowball starting on top of a mountain that gains size and speed as gravity pulls it to the bottom.

The plot, characters and reason for it all develops as the series progresses. That snowball becomes an avalanche.

Thanks for your consideration and support! Book two releases the end of January, so your timing is perfect :)

I'm so sorry Reed. While your book seems appealing for kids, ( I love the images and all), children books were not on my list of genres. Maybe next time I'll extend to include them if I find a child to gift it to. :( Again, sorry.

J. Butler (jstevenbutler) | 3 comments Hi G.G. Thanks for the opportunity to submit. Here is my link and the subsequent description:

http://www.amazon.com/The-Night-Sweep...

It’s 2105 and Cray has a killer life – literally. He spends every night hunting zombies to keep everyone else in New York safe. Of course he’s alone, has a crap relationship with his father, and could die at any moment, but that’s not so bad. Right?

After all, thanks to his tireless efforts and the efforts of the other Night Sweepers, society has a fighting chance of recovering from the zombie apocalypse and being normal again.

Enter Jonathan Harbin, the son of the psychopath that made the virus that created the zombie horde. Emerging from obscurity, he claims to have created a new strain that could decimate the remaining populace of the planet. Suddenly everything Cray has fought for could be gone overnight. There’s only one solution: Harbin has to go away. To do this, he’s going to have to join forces with the stunning Mira Winston, a government agent with dark secrets of her own.

Thus begins a dangerous infiltration that will lead him to terrifying revelations and the brink of death. He will quickly learn his society is not what it seems, and that he’s more connected to Harbin than he could ever have imagined.

Again, thanks and best wishes,

J. Steven Butler

Hope it's not too late to get in on this. I'd like to nominate the first book in my Gateway to Gannah sci-fi series - The Story in the Stars.
Blurb: The plague ravages the planet Gannah. By the time help arrives, only one survivor – Dassa – remains. Pik, the Karkar doctor assigned to her case, hates everything Gannahan and wishes every last one of its people had perished. And they did -- all but one, anyway.
Dassa carves out a new life after her world is destroyed. She fights pirates, offends her new acquaintances, and hires an illegal pilot and ship to take her back to Gannah, with the grumbling Pik a continual irritant. On the dead planet they battle vicious animals, suffer food poisoning and survive a plane crash in order to return to Pik’s people the priceless treasure Dassa’s ancestors stole centuries before. Throughout their adventures, Dassa learns about patience and unconditional love, while Pik discovers a treasure that can never be lost.

message 84: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments This coming week end (Friday or Saturday) at a time when my fellow mod Christina will be free to help. Last time she and Ann helped so all was done absolutely randomly. We'll see who else will be free to help then. After I get the winners, I will post them here. I'm reserving Sunday to see if I will order more than just the winners, and probably place my order Sunday night or Monday.

How I did last time was sending her the list. She in turn shared with Ann. They mixed the names and added numbers to them. Then my hubby chose random numbers which I sent to Christina. She sent me the list a second later for me to see who won.

I'm not too sure of any other better way to do it so everyone has a fair chance.

A random number generator would work just as well... that cuts out one robot (Christina) for another (RNG)! :D

Or you could roll a dice.

Side Note: Christina is awesome

message 86: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments Yep but by adding a third party, people will know I didn't cheat.

The random generator was what hubby used last time. He went in World of Warcraft and used the /random feature. I think there were 11 entries so he did a /random 11 twice for two numbers. I tried it on my account and got four or five times in a row the same number, which is the third book I decided to take since one of the chosen one was so cheap.

True, a third party does help with cheating. I have many dice and would happily roll one for you if requested.

AH thanks CB but you're in so I can't let you be part of the final draw! If you'd win by chance, people might think you cheated lol
No I had chosen Christina because I already knew I was buying her book and she was not in the contest anyway. She had nothing to gain or lose.

message 90: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments The winners have been chosen. Thank you Christina. And they are:

CB Archer Breakers of the Code (The Anders' Quest Series Book 1) by C.B. Archer and Michael P. Dunn Campfire Stories by Michael P. Dunn

Congrats!

As for the mods, I chose Riley's Little Black Stormcloud (Breath of the Titans, #1) by Riley Westbrook and Christina's Splitsville (Rise of the Discordant Book #2) by Christina McMullen

All of them in paperback edition of course.

I'll see if I add more before I finalize the order.

Thank you all for participating!

I will say this again though, CreateSpace made a mistake the last time they sent me books. I got 4 for free, I have 2 free ones left.

Don't make me regret Anders' butt...huh...I mean bookmark. :P

message 99: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments I added three more books that were not drawn but chosen. People who know me know that I have a hard time ignoring aliens so I had to get these two:

Dancing With The Dead by Charles Freedom Long
Immortal Peace by Tyler S. Harris

I wanted one more to fill the order to the max but couldn't afford a full price one. This was one of the cheap ones.

The Villain & The Golden Apple by Ken Doggett

Again, I want to apologize if I didn't buy your book. The random ones were easy since I didn't have a saying in it but the others were tough choices. I know I said it already but believe me, if I could have afforded buying every one of the books pitched I would have.
