goblin gender (blanketedmelody) | 217 comments Cora was definitely, 100%, unmistakably, avoiding her history class. She hated history more than anything else in the world; who cares about a bunch of dead dudes who fought each other for petty reasons? It was boring. Ironically, she was skipping to play Overwatch, you know, the game where people fought each other over petty shit? Yep, that one. She had her feet up on one of the only desks in the room, her laptop sitting in her lap. She mained Hanzo, which tells you a bit about the kinda person she was, but currently she was playing Lucio. She tried to be good at multiple things; her team had forced her to play a support despite her being better at offensive and defensive heroes anyway. Whatever. She would just have to be good at this too. Getting her head in the game, she realized that none of her team was on the goddamn payload- looks like she would have to do it herself. If they wanted healing, they should come to her. God, would it really kill them to- "SHIT!" Cora momentarily forgot that, in fact, she wasn't supposed to be there. Getting sniped by Widowmaker caught her so by surprise that she had yelled out; she just hoped that no one was around to hear.

sorry it took me a while to respond!

Lucy needed somewhere quiet to grade papers and work on lesson plans for her high-level science class. She would go to the teacher's lounge, but lots of the teachers kept bugging her about her lifestyle. They were her professional colleagues- why would they care about what she did on weekends, even if it was going to bars in Wilmington. It was during school, but it was at the time that most students were in class, but Lucy had her off period during this time. Often, she needed some time to get away, and the unused classroom at the end of the hall was just the place she needed. There had never been anyone there whenever she was, even though the door was wide open for anyone to enter. As she neared the entrance, she heard an obnoxiously loud vulgar term come straight from the unused classroom. She knocked the door open and entered, coming across a young girl relaxed over a desk with a laptop in your lap. "Excuse you?" Lucy asked, her teaching instincts kicking in. "Shouldn't you be in class?"

goblin gender (blanketedmelody) | 217 comments "Uhhhhhhhh," came Cora's incredibly intelligent response. It took her a second to pull her thoughts together, although the teacher in front of her seemed anything but patient. She had done her research before coming here, though, and already knew this woman. Lucy Edelmann, a high level science teacher. She grew up way more like her than she did the other students, but it was obvious by the way she held herself and her clothing that she really was trying. Cora almost felt bad for her. Obnoxiously popping her gum, she threw her hair back over one shoulder. It was time for her to do her magic. "Sorry, Miss, I was working on a website that my tech teacher asked for. I have a free period actually, and I thought I might as well work on it!" She gave a bubbly smile. "By the way, where did you get your shoes? I love them."

sorry its so short
Even if Lucy knew this student was just trying to get on her good side, she loved getting compliments on her appearance that she spent so much money and worked so hard for. “Oh my god, thanks so much!” She said, appreciating the attention, even if she was still suspicious. “Oh, so you’re developing a website that shouts swear words? Send me a link once you’re don’t with it, I would love something like that,” Lucy said.

goblin gender (blanketedmelody) | 217 comments Cora laughed at her joke, moving her feet from off the desk. The teacher seemed sweet enough, if she could convince her that she was telling the truth she would he 100% home free. It might be a bit harder than she anticipated, though. "Not exactly. Im formatting the website for a business of my creation and choice- this one just happens to be a fashion magazine. Simple enough." She shrugged. "Well, it would be. Im not sure what's wrong exactly, maybe I bit off a bit more than I could chew, but it's just not working like I planned. It takes forever to load, and when it does it crashes." Sure, she was lying out of her ass, but her entire existence relied on her lying out of her ass. Lying was one of the two things she was actually good at. "Sorry if I offended you, Miss, I'm just.... more frustrated than you could ever imagine." She punctuated that last sentence with a sigh, leaning back in her chair again.

sorry it took me a while!!
Lucy could see right through this girl, but she was nice enough. At least, she could talk about programming with her, something she was very interested in. "That's cool, maybe I could help you with that. I minored in computer sciences, actually," she added. Lucy had graduated high school when she was sixteen, and graduated from college when she was nineteen. Even if she looked like a typical dumb (bleached hair) blonde, she was incredibly smart. "You know, there's a way to archive your programming. I've programmed it to autosave, and it's much simpler," Lucy said to Cora.
can you tell i know nothing about programming

goblin gender (blanketedmelody) | 217 comments There was absolutely nothing that this teacher could tell her that she didn't already know. There wasn't only that problem, though, there was also the fact that she was lying to all hell. Well then, she would just have to improvise. "Really?" She just hoped the teacher wouldn't ask for her computer.

”Here, let me show you,” Lucy said, taking her computer out of her bag. She opened up a website programming application, and clicked to the side. “See, it’s embedded in the code. It’s pretty simple, I could do it for your computer, too,” Lucy said as she flipped her hair out of the way of her large earrings. They were nothing special, just from Nordstrom, but they contributed to her look.
