Searching for book

Hi everyone, a couple of years ago I remember coming across a book, it may have been a memoir, or just a novel, at the time i read a few different quotes from it and it seemed interesting. One of them was something along the lines of "when I decided I was going to end my life, I then realized that I could do it whenever and didn't have to do it now, it felt freeing". Something like that. Kind of a weird quote, and not the best example as there were other parts of the book that really seemed interesting, but I can't for the life of me remember the title. Anyone know?
