I re-visited Prey for this one. I read this book when Lost was in its second season and everyone was theorizing on the black cloud. This was one of the theories. I adored this book then and it held up when I re-read it this week. Very suspenseful and interesting!
I read Moon Island by Rosie Thomas. I talked Sam into buying it when I was 15 and had no money and she was 17 and had a job lol :-) I promptly stole it. I don't even know if she ever got to read it! It's good btw Sam but more of a summer read ;-)
