Andrea Rand | 8 comments Hi Mercedes! I published my first book a year ago but am brand new to Goodreads and still trying to figure it out. I came across this thread and would be happy to participate in an Author Interview. I write MiddleGrade Fantasy and the second book in my series will be out next month. Thanks! :)

Sandra Gough | 1 comments Hi Mercedes! I think this is an awesome idea you have and a great way to get genre specific readers to see other works or be informed enough to tell someone they know.
I would love to have an author interview done!

Maria Nieto | 1 comments Hi: I published a book last year, It good excellent reviews but I Universe did not help to make the book known in spite of the large amounts of money I paid them for publicity I hired a publicity outfit, but all that they did was get reviews from blogs. The book went nowhere in spite of having been compared to other well known classics and carried a 5 star in Amazon, etc. It may be that the subject is not well known about the 1936 Spanish Civil War and a little girl's traumatic life during the war and after the war under Franco , Spain's ruthless ditator after the war ended. Spain's silence about these years of suffering prompted the tittle of my book, Breaking the Silence. Advice, please how can I make this book better known ? It is a subject that MUST be known in order to prevent from these wars ever happening again and bring the incredible suffering and torment it creates for children. I have not used GOODteads before. I am not if my post now is proper. Maria Nieto

Lily MacKenzie (lilyionamackenzie) | 63 comments I recommend contacting colleges in your area and offering to do lectures about the topic in appropriate classes or if they have a lecture series. Also, look for any Spanish related organizations where you could appear, or even at local churches/synagogues. Good luck!

Cenarth Fox | 17 comments I'm sure there are ethical and worthwhile publicity agents. However, one hears of writers handing over significant amounts of money and receiving very little in return. Many self-published writers want to concentrate on their creativity and have little interest or expertise in marketing. That's me. Solution? Not sure or don't know. My experience is that you have to work out your own salvation. Seek advice from many sources. Do simple things like speaking on your topic to Probus clubs. Offer your book and a talk to libraries. Go on community radio book programs. Contribute to blogs on writing. Offer to have a book-signing at your local bookstore. Put your book title as part of your signature on all your emails. Look upon the marketing task as a long journey with brief rest breaks. Every day you'll have an opportunity to tell someone about your writing. Persevere and let your fingers do the walking.

I would first like to thank all the awesome authors I've met and had interviews with. I'm not able to keep up with the interviews anymore and so am shutting it down. My website/blog will still be up to view all interviews and samples but as of now if the interview isn't posted it will not bet. I'm sorry, life has a way of taking over. But please check back often, when things change I will be starting again.

Hello Mercedes
Thanks for the offer. I'm interested. I have a play which became a biographical novel. And some real and famous writers are centre-stage. Let's know if it suits your blog. Cenarth Fox
