Seeking Authors for Interviews
What? Not quite sure I understand as you are on a Goodreads (GR) website! I wouldn't have replied had you said in your posted offer for interviews "Only peaceful, positive, nurturing genres allowed." Thought you were interviewing authors. Crone is my book, not who I am.Please remember not everything is cookie cutter. I found that I was forced to pick a genre from a preformed list in order to publish my book. Crone may include dark entities conjured by an unsavory group, but the heroine of the story is a gifted Seer who prevails because of her strong faith.
She relies on an unshakable family bond, her connection with law enforcement, and the eventual intercession by an ethereal being in answer to her prayers to work as an indomitable trinity to trounce the bad.
There's also a lot of humor thread throughout my book in order to temper the dark with light, and avoid diving too deep into the sinister surrounding murder in a small town. As an interviewer, it might serve you well to open your mind and not prejudge.
Thank you anyway, Shoshanah, but I withdraw my request for an "interview" and will encourage my fellow horror fiction authors to avoid responding as well.

As coincidence would have it, I too have worked in Surgical Pathology for over 13 years, seeing my fair share of tragedy and sadness. But I've also seen amazing recoveries, as well as what faith and a positive mental attitude can do for a patient. In short, I really believe that balance is the key.

I'm happy to be interviewed; I'm the author of many published books including the Nim's Island series that the films were based on, but my new one, Dragonfly Song, is quite different, set in the Bronze Age and written in a combination of free verse and prose, so I've been asked some interesting questions about it already.

Elyce, HiI published a first poetry chapbook with CD in 2014 with good response and I'm writing a little but haven't found the "hook" or direction I want to take for the next one. Searching, searching - I think the method is to keep on writing and let that be the guide watching where it all goes. I've got a few poems finishes for this go-round.
As a long time psychologist and writer, I've published a psychological thriller series featuring a woman psychologist (my ego-ideal) and numerous short stories. Publicity is vital to our survival as writers.Sharing our experiences in this feat may be productive. Unfortunately stores like Barnes and Nobel no longer shelve books published by "small publishers." Amazon is helpful, but is it
sufficient without publicity?

I have a very preliminary memoir effort; a complete short memoir in the form of essays built around poems that I wrote years ago; and an epic family history from my research on parent's ancestry and my DNA. They are all backburner projects that I work on between novels.

These are back burner projects because I am not sure what I want to do with them. I started the memoir before I got serious about writing novels. It is mostly for family and only my sister seems to have taken any real interest in it. The second memoir is a complete book that I wrote at the same time that I was writing my first novel. It is complete but needs a lot of work and I am not sure how much interest it would generate. The two projects overlap but they do not seem to play well together.The family history started with my parents researching their parents. I got started helping them and continued researching even after they died. I found the results of DNA test interesting in two ways - characteristics of my DNA take the story back 18000 years - with gaps and I have made contacts with cousins that I did not know existed. The main part of the story begins in Massachusetts in the 17th century and continues through the Revolutionary war (one of my ancestors worked directly with George Washington), the Civil War (Mom's grandfather joined Grant at Shiloh and continued with Sherman on the March across the South), WWII (my father's war), Vietnam (my war), the conquest of Space, the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (my children's wars). At the moment there are too many possibilities and not enough research.

A lot of work, to be sure.

I have a number of books out from my publisher and some indie published. I suppose I have sold tens of thousands of books, but I'd rather sell hundreds of thousands. I know a great deal about firearms, military explosives, automatic weapons, what it sounds like when a bullet hits a living body. So if you want me to review any writing you are doing on that sort of thing I can provide some surprising realities. I also am a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame and was once a bouncer (and a technical advisor on the film ROADHOUSE). So if you are writing fight scenes or anything to do with Martial Arts (which is not really self-defense training by the way) I would be happy to help there as well.

I am interested in an interview. I have written 30 indie books. Some are non-fiction. One is a set of 8 lyrical novels on 100 people who met and struggled with Jesus (actually, it is a life of Christ) and begun when I was 17 years old and finished when I was 60.
