David and I are going to read the Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. We are starting things off with Cinder. We'd love for you to join us!

I am loving this! I could hardly stop reading it after I started. I think that what I am liking the most, apart from the concept, is that the characters are all portrayed so very well. They were definitely well planned out and it shows in the writing. I love when I really "know" the characters, and I am finding that Meyer does this quite well. I also really love all of the different elements involved in the story so far. The mention of the Lunar people, the plague that is going around, and the cyborgs that are drafted to help with the scientific research. I'm just loving everything. I just adore Cinder, and I feel so much for her and all she has to go through.
So any thoughts? Any favorite characters or any that you don't care for? I am loving Cinder, Kai, and Cinder's android.
Sorry, I've been off and on with reading this one. I am loving this book again, as I've read it once before. Who's your favorite character?
No worries. This is my first time to read, but I will definitely be rereading this in the future. It has certainly become a favorite! I do love Cinder. I feel so much for her. She has had to deal with so much and struggle so much in life. These things haven't changed her for the worse. She is still kind and selfless.
I also love Kai. He seems so genuine to me. One of the things that I love most about him is that he is very down to earth. He is a prince and then an emperor, but he doesn't let it go to his head. He acts as if he is a regular person, only with a responsibility to care for his country.
Peony was very sweet as well. I did also get a kick out of Cinder's android. =]
Do you have any favorites?
I love Cinder!! She barely has any moments where I'm screaming at her, which is a good trait for a main character in a novel.Kai is also great, and I agree with what you said exactly.
The one character that I loath is Adri. How she can have so much contempt and hatred for another living person is beyond me. She hates Cinder for being different, and I can't stand her prejudice. You would think that she would open her heart to the child that her husband adopted, but neh. Lordy, she really gets under my skin. Is there a character that does the same to you?
Definitely Adri, and for the same exact reasons you just stated.
And while Adri is just a horrible person, Queen Levana is just pure evil. They are definitely both strong villainous characters.
How's reading going for you so far?
I just finished Cinder and just started Scarlet. I am absolutely loving this series! OMG. Have you read the entire series?
No, I've only read Cinder and Scarlet.
I'm up to page 201 now! Loving it once again.
Sorry about going MIA. We forgot to pay out internet bill and were without until yesterday evening. =PI actually finished the entire series while my internet was off. Did you get through Cinder and Scarlet again?
