I saw where some said they had to increase font size but mine is appearing large enough. Not sure what the difference is.
I like it okay. It does have a bright, clean appearance.
I like it okay. It does have a bright, clean appearance.

The biggest issues with the fonts are on the desktop browsers. They just repaired Firefox (something called font rendering). The best results are on tablets and smartphones.

Mine is fine Jonetta. It's not tiny that I can't read. It's pretty good.

Chrome works the best.

Which is why I'm seeint it I guess. I mainly use goodreads from my desktop.

It's tiny - especially on the notifications feed. And it is blurry - not sharp somehow. And there are different effects. My font here as I type this comment is different than the size/clarity in the comments already displayed and different than the titles to the comment box.
I use mozilla as my primary browser.
They're working on the other browsers. I think Chrome may now be ready. You can follow the progress (enter at your own risk) using the link in my original message. LOTS of grousing.

yea - I've been following (a little bit) - posted early on.
It really makes it hard for me to focus on it very long. But maybe that's a good thing lol

Google and mine has looked great and worked great. No issues reading or anything. Weird how it differs with everyone!

ETA Another problem might be the lower contrast between the blue-green and the white background.

I did a screenshot, saved it as a jpeg, and uploaded it to photobucket. If you pick on the picture in the post above and go to my photobucket picture you'll see it a little better. The font is tiny and a bit blurry. My eyesight isn't good enough to deal with it. Especially if I spend any time with it.

Posting the image isn't doing justice so here is the link to the screen shot.

That's also taking into account I'm at work so have the screen reduced.

Me, too, now that they've increased the font size. I just hope they resolve the desktop browser font rendering quickly.
"Today we’re rolling out some much-needed visual design cleanup on the Goodreads desktop site. Among the changes you will see are a new single font family to replace the many different fonts previously used on the site; tweaks to the color of links, star ratings, headers, and buttons; and the removal of some extraneous design elements, like boxes around headers and content.
While not a full redesign, these changes are intended to clean up and standardize the styling on the site, making pages look more consistent and ensuring that new pages and features also look consistent going forward. We have heard from many users who have pointed out (rightly) that newer pages and features on Goodreads don’t look the same as older ones, and that there are too many different fonts on the site. This is an effort to directly address those concerns.
Goodreads members have also noted that some features (e.g., the Want To Read button) looked too bright or out of place with the rest of the colors on the site, which are more muted. The changes we are making to button, star, and link colors are based on a more cohesive color palette, which ensures that they are complementary to each other and to Goodreads’ overall look and feel.
Our goal with all of these changes – in addition to making Goodreads look more consistent, modern, and clean – is to improve usability. Our font and color choices follow established design best practices for contrast, readability, and scannability, to ensure a better experience for all of our users.
We’ve tested the changes thoroughly, but we would love your help in reporting any bugs, inconsistencies, or broken layout issues you see, so we can get them fixed as quickly as possible. We’d also love to hear about any places where you still experience difficulty with contrast or readability on the site so we can make plans to improve that in the future. We will be actively monitoring this space and responding to your bug reports. "
