In the spirit of "best of" lists, what's the best book you've read this year?

Jenny | 12 comments Awesome idea! And to respond in the spirit of lists, here are my replies, in no particular order:
1. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
2. All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
3. The Phoenix Project: A Novel About IT, DevOps, and Helping Your Business Win by Gene Kim, Kevin Behr, George Spafford
4. Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
5. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Least Favorite:
1. The Dead Lands by Benjamin Percy (premise was fun, yet execution lacked)
2. Qualify (The Atlantis Grail #1) by Vera Nazarian (horribly unrealistic heroine; tried to suck me into the trilogy but I fought bravely against it--and won!)
