Pay-it-foward read and review challenge
Goodreads doesn't work that way, and it's too much for us mods. Please just scroll through the thread. You can also PM any of the authors. If you prefer just one book at a time, that's fine too.
I posted the shelf thread. I don't think it will require any moderator work. It's basically just an author-made list. I'm confused about "Goodreads doesn't work that way." Do you mean, it's not technically feasible, or that my suggestion of having a separate shelf and discussion is sort of against the spirit of Goodreads? It's not meant to be, and I think it's feasible. I like the discussion. I just want to be able to find the books easily.
Thanks Wren. I'm planning to finish Totem by the end of the week. I'm not sure why but I seem to be reading slower than usual this week.
I guess this might be something of a moot point but I just noticed on my laptop that that - in the right column of the screen - there is a list of all the books that have been mentioned with a link as well as how many times.
Starting Monica's Famine today (wanted to start it sooner, but got sidetracked) and will finish early next week and leave reviews.
just purchased When Angels Fail: Tales of the Macabre
By Michael Benavidez so count me in on this challenge.
Here's are 2 of my books, feel free to pick which one to read:
A Bloody Bloody Mess In the Wild Wild West

I finally have a free day all to myself. I'm spending the day doing nothing but reading. Dammit. You can't stop me.Finished When Angels Fail by Michael Benavidez, posted a review. Wrapping up Old Souls, long overdue (sorry, CG!), and will work on Tanke One with You next. It's a reading mathathon! I have a few books I need to finish that's not related to Finge members as well. We'll see how much I can get done today, if I'll have leftover time to add and start more books, preferably from Fringe members. Wish me luck...
Huh. Thanks, Courtney, for pointing out the list of books in the right column. Hadn't seen that, but now that I see it it is quite handy!
Can someone tell me how to link my book so that it appears on the side? For some reason it's not showing up, and I was wondering if there was something in particular I needed to do. Also, I noticed at least one other book mentioned in the thread isn't showing up there. I've started reading Wren's Atancia.

I'm not sure how GR does it, most recent posts, maybe? It could be frequency, if mentioned more than once. It's not a comprehensive list, just an extra feature. Not all books posted here will show up.
Would love to participate. Have one more RAR to do, then will pick up a book from here. Here's the link to mine. http://www.amazon.com/Seventh-Sentine...

Oh, ok, thanks! When I linked before, I didn't use the "add book/author" button. That might be it. I checked the other book I noticed was missing, and it looks like he probably didn't add his book that way either. I'm going to try "adding" both books via the link. According to the list, it mentions how many times a book was mentioned. Some of them have no number, so I'm assuming they were mentioned once. Which makes me think that the list should be comprehensive if added the correct way?? Either way, thanks for the explanation as I'm very new to posting in discussions. Sentencing Day
Of Royal Descent
I have Michael's book which I'm reading now and for my other two I'll probably go with Jason Parent's and C's book.
I have read and reviewed Michael B's and Sarah R, but will be doing at least 3 more that I already have.

Thanks Yolanda:) Your book looks fantastic. I can't wait to read it and make my through the list. I just finished TotemIt was a great story and I'll have a review up by tomorrow. Now I'm on to What Hides Within
Gah, apparently I broke GR. It didn't come back online for me until just now.Anyway... back on topic. Almost finished TOWY.
Think GR might still be broken, there's a new review showing up for Atancia which I can see has a rating, but only the review count went up, not the ratings...weird.....
Thanks to those of you who've picked up my book for review. @Tiger, I'm hoping to get back to yours this weekend!

Thank you for the glowing review!
I purchased Chains of Prophecy, Atancia and No Deadly Thing. Will finish over the month. Currently reading What Hides Within. What a beginning!! I think I'm really going to like this one.
Aw, geez. I just realized I jumped right into the reading challenge and forgot to post my book. So I guess I'm doing things backward.Eden Fell - a dark literary fantasy novella. Sex, drugs, and hallucinations. And some of that is real.

Back to reading...
Hello, I am a bit new, but I am in. I got Brian's book already. ~Sentencing Day: A Novelette~ and I would like to read Jason's Chains of Prophecy, but I am in middle of two big novels already at the moment, so can't commit to a work that long yet, but I put it on my too-read list and will find two others as soon as I can. Here's mine, it's a short story collection, 9 in all, ranging from straight horror to PNR.

Here is my review for Into the Veil. Thank you so much, Jennifer!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Wow. Thanks Jason for the review. I'm so happy you liked it! As for the grammar error, Wren sent a list of issues she found and I'm currently doing revisions. It's an odd thing to actually see how many times I wrote the word then... lol. Anyway, you've made my day. And I love that used the word aplomb. I'm totally going to use it in my next book and think of you.
You're quite welcome! You deserve it, and I look forward to seeing you succeed and remembering when you were just one of us fringies ;)

That way our book-selection-browsing would be simpler, especially for who have just joined the process, or who may join later when this conversation has gotten longer. All the "thanks" and "I just started and can't put it down" and other supportive conversation would stay here. It's a positive vibe, but will get harder and harder to "shop" through the longer it gets. I'm posting that topic and if anyone wants to participate please do. It will help me decide what to buy and read, and may help others. My hope is that the clarity will increase interest and participation.
