On Sunday. Do you guys prefer a schedule or just read at your own pace? With buddy reads I like schedules otherwise I sometimes finish the book in a day or two lol

I'd say own pace but not too fast, if you want to schedule that's cool with me, let me know what you reading and when and I will try my best to stick to it :) Sunday is good for me. I am off Mon and Tues so hopefully have time to read some :)
Yes it's off of my list Angie :) I am leaving the Secret Keeper just now, if I force it I am going to resent it, will pick it up for a train journey or something sometime.

I looked and there's 26 chapters counting the prologue and epilogue. I'll probably do 5 chapters a day since I'm already doing 2 other buddy reads plus whatever else I'm reading.

A schedule sounds good, I've been dying to start! Emma with Secret Keeper only the first and the third part are worth reading. That sounds bad but Dolly was so tiresome. Not a good person.

I got my copy of Daughter of smoke and bone as a hardback like new copy from a charity shop for 50pence. What a bargain!! I'd only seen it in paperback before that, it was before I had a kindle so ebooks were a dream at that time lol. I didn't even have a mobile phone then:O) If you'd have told me this time last year I'd have all my goodreads friends and know how to make everything work I'd of laughed my socks of!!

That sounds good to me :) I am in with that :) I may do a little more some days and less others when I am working long shifts , but I will keep up :) Ye I have one more buddy read and some other books to read too. We can do a buddy read of daughter of smoke and bone after this if you want Angie?

Just finished Chapter , they are fairly long chapters, but Oh My, so far it is amazing, if I did not have to go on, I would carry on and read tomorrows lot tonight, but it is getting late and I really should read a couple of chapters of another book. How is everyone else enjoying it? It's easier read than I thought it would be, but still a complex story, really enjoying it :)

What chapter did you finish?

I have learned something, I've got to start rereading blurbs before I start a book. I only knew I had this on my to-read shelf (I added it after I saw a blog fangirling over the Darkling ;-) ). I started it not knowing what to expect. I read to the end of chapter 4.

Sorry I finished chapter 4, hte key sticks sometimes and I forget, oops.
It's good to do that sometimes though, means you do not spoil the book for yourself. Maybe I wonder how it happened. It is better than I thought it would be :)

I'm really enjoying this.

I assume he has to be in the story more from the blurb. I wonder what is up with the The Apparat? I don't think he can be trusted (hide spoiler)]

I have not managed any today, got sucked in by a book and ending up reading the whole thing and I would like to get finished by tomorrow early afternoon, so I can send it away to Angie for the Traveling book. But I will try and do todays and tomorrows, tomorrow. It is really good so far, so won't be a problem :)

It's okay Angie, we realised, easy done, the names are really similar. :)

Chapters 11-15

(view spoiler)[I liked seeing Zoya get in trouble, didn't like her from the beginning.

Baghra and the Darklings relationship is interesting. She basically insults him however she wants and he doesn't say much about it. I knew she's his mom but he's the most powerful person.

I wonder if what he said about how he feels about Alina is true or if he was messing with her? I felt bad that Mal hadn't wrote her back so maybe her letters weren't even getting sent? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 16-20

It's a feature we are doing in my group All About Fantasy. We are sending a book around the country, reading it and passing it on to the next person. I went first and finished the book yesterday. It is on it's way to Angie now.

I just finished chapter 13, Wow. I am in love. I went to read a chapter or two and 28% later, I have stopped to get a cup of tea. It's just so easy to read, and so engaging a story too.

Just finished chapter 19, think your about there Joycedale, gonna wait there for Angie, really want to know what happens :)

I just checked there I cannot see it on her currently reading list, I think we should be fine just to finish it but it would be nice to get her permission, I don't want to leave her out. I know I have been thinking about just finishing it, but I decided that would be bad of me lol

Sorry guys I really should of posted here what I was doing:) I've had to move a few books to finish at a later date, but I will finish them. The ones I left on my reading list are the ones I've nearly finished. I can't believe I've not read for three days!! I'm going a bit crazy lol. Emma, I started this as a casual group. I am a slow reader and usually only read one or two books a week. Don't pressure yourself to read fast. People here understand. Just have fun. It shouldn't be like a classroom assignment. :D

Me too. Now I'm playing catch-up again since I had to be admitted to the hospital for the night after my procedure. Oh well. Not gonna push it.

No, you should make sure you enjoy the books, if you try and push it feels like a chore, not worth it.
