I can do chapters or read at our own pace. I just checked the chapters and I think there are 46 but they seem to be pretty short. I have to work tomorrow and thursday but I am hoping to get some reading done today and Wednesday. :)

Chapter 20 ends on page 127 (46%) so each set of 10 chapters is right around 63-64 pages.
If that works for everyone, we could do that and it'll take us between 4-5 days to finish. But anyone is always welcome to finish early or take more time!I don't want anyone to feel pressured if they get behind or "feel guilty" for finishing fast. LOL
Let me know what you guys think. I am quite open

Chapt..."
I can do 10 chapters a day. I'm not sure how much I will get doe tomorrow and Thursday but I can definitely catch up on the days I'm not working. :)

Chapters 1-10
Penryn... (view spoiler)
The Angels ... (view spoiler)
The mom...(view spoiler)
What do you guy think of the book so far?

I really like Penryn. I think that what I love most is that she isn't a damsel in distress, or one of those bad ass heroines that come out of nowhere. There is nothing worse (for me) than getting a heroine that has no prior training, powers, or abilities and then suddenly she is kicking ass and taking names like it's normal. Penryn isn't either of those, and I love that! She is determined to rescue her sister and keep her mother safe, even though her mother is mad a a hatter. She is compassionate and loyal.
I also like Raffe. He wasn't what I was expecting. I even felt sorry for him (view spoiler) He seemed so miserable and hopeless.

So Penryn and Raffe decide to work together. I can feel them growing closer as the story and dialogues continue. I like how gradual it is. I dislike reading stories where a couple falls in love practically instantly. It isn't realistic at all.
I wasn't expecting the (view spoiler) where Raffe was taken. I did giggle at the fact that he thought that she would last so long in a fight. He clearly sees something in her.

I am really liking this story so far. I was just a little hesitant when i started it but once I got into the story it got really interesting. Penryn is an awesome main character. I am not sure about Penryn's mom yet but I like her sister too. I was pretty surprised with Raffe but he is definitely different. i really like him so far. :) I don't really read a lot of books with angels in them but so far I am really enjoying this books and am interested to see what happens next.

Whatever was in the woods (view spoiler) was just creepy. The thought of a gang of feral children running around and eating people is disturbing. It sounds like it is something more, and I can't wait to find out what. (view spoiler) What the heck is up with that?
The place where the angels are holed up in absolutely nothing like what I was expecting. I don't even really know what I was expecting, but it wasn't (view spoiler) I mean, really? What the heck is going on with these angels? Needless to say, I am confused but intrigued. (view spoiler) I kind of felt bad for Penryn.
I am not sure what to make of the albino angel. Anyone else have any vibes on him?

I actually finished the book in one sitting. =P I just posted that way since we were only reading 10 at a time so that I don't put any spoilers out there. =]

So Penryn gets a better glimpse into the angels after Raffe's conversation with Josiah and then Laylah. Nothing is clear, so if anything it really raises more questions for her. Penryn does not trust Laylah, but Raffe decides to trust her since he really has no other choice. Penryn decides to look for her sister while inside the aerie. I was horrified by what she found when she found her sister. Really horrific. It was described fabulously too. And poor little Paige. I was so heartbroken about what she went through. I am really hoping that something can be done for her.

Oh, the drama. The fight between Raffe and Beliel is intense. There were some things said that add to the puzzles. I was so proud of Penryn for standing up to Beliel and trying to help Raffe. (view spoiler)

I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to get the next two books in this series. I ended up rating it 4.5 only because I wish there was more information on the angels. I loved the action in the story and I loved most of the characters in the story. I can't wait to see what Penryn does in the next two books. :)
