Nate | 4557 comments That should help with your career.
That was way more involved than we cared to get. I didn't want anything too intensive or that was going to require a huge investment. We has some and borrowed some from my uncle. The goal was to flip it and make a hefty profit within 6 mo. Mission accomplished. I think we could have held out for more but it was good enough to pay him back in full and almost double what we each put in.
I'd like to do it again but just need to let things settle and now if I do...err 'we' decided to move that's going to impact things a bit. I want to go from a condo to a townhome or single family but gated community.

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten | 5901 comments Yeah, it will. Still sucked though. I think it would be fun to do my own reno project but I'll be lucky if I have the money for that even 10 years from now. Lol. I'll be drowning in student debt.
Nice. So a quick ROI and low-risk. Sounds like a good pick. As far as the moving thing, those sound nice. I hope it goes well when the time comes for it. I know personally I'm just hoping we can move into a 2 bedroom house or duplex probably by next year. Richard really, really wants to have a kid so I caved and we are going to start planning. Including moving, him getting on meds, etc. Going to be a lot of changes...

Nate | 4557 comments Those aren't particularly my ideal dream homes but for right now with the hours I work and all I'm going for low maintenance and safety for Cass. The ideal house will come later...much later.

I'm now sure weather to congratulate your bravery or recommend a therapist for you insanity. JK yeah g'luck with all that.

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten | 5901 comments Same. And, well, when the time comes you'll already know a good architect. ;) If you decide to build, of course.

Lol yeah I'll probably need a therapist..... Without the probably..... Luckily I should have another 6 months or so to plan and get things worked out before dealing with pregnancy atop that. I laid out some base requirements beforehand.

message 3505: by Nate (new)

Nate | 4557 comments True. & I do plan to build the house we left Dad had built from the ground up planned everything right down to the fixtures. That was the only place I ever really called 'home'

...won't that hinder your plans to become an architect? I'd hate to see that go to the way side.

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten | 5901 comments Well someday I can help design something pure awesome for you, if you'd let me. :)

Nah. Richard would never let that happen. Having a kid won't stop be from being an architect. I'll still be going to school and all. I have 5 more years of education to get, not including a couple years of internship

message 3507: by Nate (last edited Aug 08, 2017 08:11PM) (new)

Nate | 4557 comments Possibly

Just the thought of that gives me a headache. (school)
I'm still not sure what the future holds...More than likely I'll prob still do something along the lines of what I do now, but instead of being a mere driver, I'll buy out an already established business. Or start one. idk that's scary too.

message 3508: by Nate (new)

Nate | 4557 comments probably cycling..cus I feel really agitated for no reason.

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten | 5901 comments I love school
Sounds like a good plan though

Nate | 4557 comments Hate school. I feel trapped. Now online at my own pace I might give a go. But attend classes and all like in hs NO fricken way. I hated school with a passion. & I hate that they make you take unnecessary classes that you really don't need.

message 3511: by Nate (new)

Nate | 4557 comments I need to ease this feeling. Going for a run.

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten | 5901 comments See, I'm the opposite. I've tried online school but I lose track of deadlines. I enjoy taking the extra classes even though it sucks cause I'm paying for it. I like having a rounded education, especially since my schooling sucked when I was homeschooled for my pre-college education. I have most of the basic requirements out of the way now so I'll be focusing on the ones actually needed for the degree. Which makes me a little sad because basically every class I'll be taking will be related in some way to the environment (since im getting a bachelors in environmental studies). I'm hoping I can keep it all straight....

Lynx ~ 10/1 Never Forgotten | 5901 comments *pats head* jk, that's weird. What'd you do, if you don't mind me asking?

Btw I've had the song "Sound of Madness" by Shinedown stuck in my head all day because when you mentioned cycling my mind starting going, "Oh my, here we go! Another loose cannon gone bipolar, stripped down couldn't get much lower.." etc, etc.
