When we had fall break...my family didn't know I wasn't coming home until it was already too late. I went with a friend to the other end of the state and didn't tell them until the next day.

Ok so long story short, I'm not going home for Christmas due to my work schedule, Cass on the other hand will have off for almost 2 weeks. So since she is rather close to my family and they prob like her better than me, it was already decided that we'd have Christmas together than the day after she'd leave and go visit the family...However, her sister who is basically her only family member is feeling a bit down and going through a rough time her and the boyfriend aren't getting on well so...I offered for her to go be with her family for Christmas, then head over to visit with mine, I'll be fine. I'm not much a fan of the holidays anyway and I work Christmas eve so....BUT I know how stubborn she is and she'll want to be here despite what say, SO Do I take matters into my own hands and book the flight and tell her to go and we'll have our own Christmas later? ...Idk if she'll be appreciative of the gesture or freak out cus I didn't allow her to choose. I can usually read her well enough but this time I'm having difficulty gauging hew true feelings...SEE COMPLICATED!

I can't really give relationship advice, I'm kinda in my own stuff at the moment, but how upset do you think she'l be if you don't tell her? I honestly think it's best to talk everything out first, but idk, I'm kinda complicated. Is it worth it her getting upset? If you don't think it'll be that bad, buy the tickets

My gut instinct is to just buy the ticket, idt she'll be that upset, she might be a bit miffed at first but I leaning more towards the idea that she'll see it with the good intention its meant to be. I'm not much company on holidays anyway, I tend to be moody, and like I said I'll be working the night b4. I get that this would be our first real Christmas on our own together, but idk maybe that'll make the others that much more special? *silence to enhance the words* JK! My lame attempt of being sentimental...I couldn't even type that with a straight face....But seriously. idk I don't want to disappoint her, but I want her to be happy and have no regrets. Cass is a lot more sentimental, she'd see things differently. I've hinted at the suggestion but haven't outright asked her. I'll run it by her...though I'm afraid if I do I'd be putting her on the spot, making her choose. & Then she's going to be torn, cus she'll want to be both places.
