Maxine Robinson Wow Megan, awesome reading. I thought I had varied my reading this year quite a lot, but I had pretty much only read nominees in fantasy, romance, memoir and debut. Did you vote? Did you pick the winners as best?

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed another historical fiction book - Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly. Excellent writing, well-plotted script, fascinating characters - everything one could ask for from a book! I'm incredibly impressed, and definitely recommend this book! 5 stars

Hi. completed the challenge and noted in message 259. Didn't pick many winners, but enjoyed them anyway.

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed a science fiction selection - Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. I found this novel alternating between fascinating and frustrating. In the best sense, it challenged me to consider my life choices. In the worst sense, it seemed a touch repetitive at times. Writing was good, but the alternate realities could have been edited a touch. Worth reading. 3.5 stars

Fr. Andrew (nitesead) All the last ones I finished were graphic novels. After I saw that the titles we could vote for in the goodreads "best of" were already picked for us, I decided it had very little to do with my own life or approach to reading. The great thing about this challenge was that it encouraged me to read new titles, and that was a lot of fun, so thank you for this challenge! I didn't even bother voting in the silly poll.

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed another Romance selection - It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. This was a good book - so much more than I expected! Writing was fluid, interesting plot, and good characters! My only criticism was the beginning as a bit slow, and the ending was a bit too predictable. But those are minor complaints. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars
